“You have taken my place within the world of the sisterhood. I want to claim your place within the world of the soft bodies.” Dalia told her.
“You can’t possibly do that,” Carly said.
“She can sister you are standing on her pedestal and wearing her shoes. She wishes to wear yours and join the soft bodies.” Victoria explained.
“I didn’t mean to take your place I was put here.” Carly tried to explain to Dalia.
“That makes no difference,” Dalia Replied.
“There must be something I can do. I don’t want to lose my life to her.” Carly said.
“There is only one way to stop her from becoming a soft body in your place,” Victoria told Carly.
“What is that?” Carly asked.
“You both must take part in the challenges. The winner can choose their fate and the loser must abide by the decision no matter what.” Victoria told her.
“I Wish to take part in the challenges,” Carly said knowing it was the only way she could stop Dalia.
“So be it, sister.” The assembled mannequins said.
“Your life as a soft body is mine,” Dalia said with a menacing tone.
"Wait a minute...you have to explain all the rules to me. It isn't fair otherwise, right?"
"She is right," Victoria said. "You wore the clothes she was wearing and stood on her pedestal...you claimed what is hers...and she has the right to do the same. The moment she invoked the right, this began. You have until the soft bodies return to claim that which you have lost the right to."
"But how?"
"Dalia will challenge your right to reclaim what is now hers. The Sisterhood will judge your claim. You will have to convince us."
"All of you?" Carly said.
"A majority of us."
"How do I know you won't side with her no matter what?"
"You are our Sister...we will judge fairly."
"I will begin the first challenge to her claim," Dalia said. "She told her story already. She went to her friends and asked to pretend to be one of us. She wanted this...She had one of them ready to make her look like one of us. She was so good at this...even we mistook her for one of us. Why would a soft body wish this? It must mean she has failed as one of them."
"Excuse me?" Carly said. "You don't even know me. What about you? What do you know about being human?"
"I do not have to prove what I know...the challenge is about you, not me. That is your pedestal now."
