Carly sat in the pub chatting with her best friend Michaela. “Honestly Carly I think the shop will close down soon. We are getting fewer and fewer people in each day.” Michaela Told her friend.

“I will come in and buy something tomorrow I promise,” Carly said.

“I wish that would help but I don’t think it will. We need to do something. Rachael has left me to come up with an idea that will attract customers somehow.” Michaela said to her friend.

“What while she goes Swanning off on holiday somewhere?” Carly asked.

“No, she is going to talk to the bank manager in the morning to see if she can get some more time on the loan,” Michaela informed her friend knowing that Carly and Rachael didn’t get on too well. It's not that they hated each other.

She was sure that Carly was just jealous of Rachael's success up till that point anyway. The three of them had all gone to school together but Rachael was the only one of them to start her own business. Carly had been away at university when the shop had started so Rachael could not give her a job in the shop so she had offered Michaela a job. By the time Carly had come back home the business had begun to hit some bad times and Rachael could not do the same for her other friend.

Deep down Carly knew it was the current state of the economy but a bit of her still blamed Rachael only a small bit mind you.

As the evening wore on the two women began to get more and more inebriated well Carly did anyway. Michaela couldn’t drink as much as her friend as she had to open the shop up in the morning so she stayed relatively sober.

“I have an idea for you.” A rather drunken Carly announced to her friend who was just finishing her last Gin of the evening> Michaela had already told Carly that she had a cab booked to pick her up outside in half an hour.

“Oh yeah do tell. I am open to suggestions.” She replied.

“The Mannequin Challenge,” Carly told her.

“Carly how is that going to help? Having people stand around pretending to be Mannequins?” Michaela asked her.

“No, no not that. What you do is have one person hide in the shop amongst the Mannequins and have people come in and try to guess where they are. You give them a prize for taking part in the competition. Say they can get an outfit for half price or something. If they find whoever is hiding they get the outfit for nothing.” Carly explained between her hiccups.

Michaela looked at her friend for a moment and before she could say anything in return.

“Taxi for Jones.” Came a voice from the door of the pub.

“You sure you don’t want a lift?” Michaela asked her friend

“Nah it's far too early to head home just now. See you soon.” Carly said as she stood up and hugged Michaela before she left to get her cab.
