Learning the many controls and functions of one Shine would mean learning how to pilot them all. Only the caliber of the pilots would lead to differences. Just like with synchronization simulations, the Shines responded to pulses of both the pilots. A Black Pulse of 100 made the Shine fire on all cylinders and every tool and gadget would be ready to work on a moment's notice. A White Pulse let the Top operate the Shine near intuitively. There would not be a second between the Top thinking of an action and the action happening. That was why it was important to not only be able to generate high pulses yourself, but also mesh well with your partner. A mismatch would cause problems in a deployment. You needed to add up to 102 to turn on, but it was better if they were both at 51 than if one was at a 90 and the other was at a 12. You could put the greatest racecar driver ever in a bumper car and, while they might do surprisingly well, they won't win on the racetrack. The greatest racecar would just be wasted with a toddler at the wheel. Radiant Ones put out 100 in both pulses at once.
Human-Radiant male hybrids, could only put out a pulse of 100 in one at a time. With that being the case, it was important for fully human pilots to do the best they could during training to do the best they could in increasing their pulses before having it set by the serum. Kazuki and Kageya had both taken the serums they had chosen. For the half Japanese Kazuki, it was the Switch serums. For the mutated Kageya, it was the Bottom serum. Kazuki had proven his capability to do so during the 2 stages of their recruitment process. Kageya had clearly done the same. Kazuki was registered as a Switch with a preference towards Topping. Kageya was a Bottom. Their roles in this partnership were clear. They still would have to work out if they actually wanted to switch roles from time to time. Kazuki could Botton too after all. That could wait until they were actually on call. It would be in 3 days. The break would give Kazuki a bit to think. It was a big chance to decide how he wanted to approach that really important conversation. Kazuki had come far. He was not going to let anyone fuck it up.
Being dismissed soon after the unveiling, Kazuki decided to go back to the comfort woman facility. He could spend the night with Natsuki. Starting tomorrow, they would have to resume chores and attend tactic meetings with the partners that they were assigned. Everyone needed to be in the loop when it came to certain things. Even if it was not on the day they were on call, it was important every pilot knew when there would be an incoming attack or deployment. The majority of the pilots were joining him on the trek back. Luckily, there was a bus that would drive them there. Eiji was going on and on about wanting to see Mai. Minato looked beyond done with his lewd chatter and antics. It did not stop because Ryuga and Jiro were totally on board with talking about it. That was not to say that Eiji was not also berating them for being so perverted the day before. Jiro had the decency to look a bit embarrassed about it when called out. Ryuga was not affected by Eiji's words at all. Ryuga was the one that asked to see Kazuki's pubic hair. When it came to perversion, Ryuga was their best.
Red hair blowing in the wind, he stood in front of their facility. Not every pilot was back there, but there were quite a bit. Kazuki looked up at the sky. It looked like a really pleasant day outside. A small breeze was blowing. The sky in Japan was blue with very little clouds. He was going to spend it with Natsuki. He definitely was going to try having sex with her during the night. Going inside, they waited in the lobby. The receptionist was Keisuke. He did his job of calling all the girls that the pilots asked to see for the day. They came down one by one when he called them. When Kazuki walked over to him, he greeted the fluffer by name. Keisuke looked annoyed. "What is it!? I have a job to do here. I'm super busy." he said. Kazuki said "Can you call down Natsuki for me? I want to see her today." Keisuke gave him a curt nod and picked up the phone. He called Natsuki and told her to come down to see her pilot. After he hung up the phone, he shooed Kazuki to the side. He had more people to assist. Natsuki came down just a few minutes later. She looked really pretty. Kazuki walked to her.
