At this point, the side door to the hall opened. 2 boys stood on either side of the scientist. Kazuki vaguely remembered them from one of the parties on base. They were back now. "Now that they have been given the serums, it is time to stress test them as a demonstration. Both our Top, Ichita, and our Bottom, Kyoji, here are going to do the simulation together 3 times in a row. Our Switch, Hametsu, is already waiting. Follow along men." he said as the 3 began to walk out the hall. They had to follow them to the hangar's viewing platform. Minato softly chuckled as we walked across the base. "What's so funny all of a sudden?" Eiji asked him. The only person who was able to stand Minato was Eiji. "Nothing. It's time to see what Aoi's rejects can do now they took drugs to reach a decent level." he said. Aoi was famous on base for getting his perfect score by Topping all 5 of his squad mates twice in a row and then moving on to the next. It caused huge problems. With his personality, he had cause the morale of their squad to crash. If Haruki and Haruto were not also twins, they would be cut.
Since that was the case, that meant that Ichita, Kyoji and Hametsu were former members of Squad 2. Kazuki wondered what made them stay. When offered what was apparently a very shitty deal by the military, they said yes and signed it. Was it all to spite Aoi? Kazuki would like and respect them a bit more if that was a reason, even if it was not the most important to them. Aoi and Minato were assholes and any level of defiance aimed at them was welcome in Kazuki's book. Sometimes it took all the restraint he had not to punch them. "I guess the last guy from Squad 1 decided to leave while he was still ahead." Ryuga said. Kazuki turned to him. "How's he ahead of the others? He got cut from the program." he asked. Ryuga shrugged. "You heard the guy talk to us. Piloting is genetic. He can go off on his own, fuck some chick and have his son pilot for him." That was true. He would not have to deal with crazy parts of a contract that would fuck him over. Being owned by the military did not sound all that good. Kazuki was an orphan treated like shit. He would not make it as a slave.
Reaching the hangar, the new pilots saw that there were 2 guys waiting at the cockpit next to the engineers. One was an older man, probably in his thirties. He was an adult. so he had to have been an already registered Shine pilot. He was in a red violet pilot suit. That denoted him as a Switch Glowie with a preference towards Topping in the cockpit. That was Kazuki's role now. He would be given a cool suit just like that one to pilot a real mecha one day. And that day would be soon. The other was a very odd young man. He had 2 toned hair and heterochromia. The boy had to be Hametsu. It was the only possible option there. He was wearing a black tanktop and a choker to match. Ichita and Kyoji marched over to stand with them. The scientist cleared his throat again. "You'll all now see the ability they've achieved with the serum. It is a stress test, so they'll be put through the ringer. Each of them will be going multiple times in a row. 9 times to be exact." That got the boys murmuring. Kazuki's limit was only 2 in a row. Aito was put under bed rest orders after 4. That was just insane.
