"Grrr! This rock! Dammit, that isn't what I meant!" Karyn was winding up her arm to throw the rock across the room, out of sheer frustration, but simply stopped. She wasn't a very aggressive person, and no matter how angry she was she simply couldn't bring herself to act on it so violently. And besides, maybe she could fix this?
'Okay, so I asked for a little Chinese, and it made Jonnie into a little Chinese person. Then I wished that she didn't speak with that funny accent, and it made her speak... Chinese, I guess. But what if I said that she could speak English? ... Or, for that matter...?'
Suddenly, Karyn had an idea, "Jonnie! Come back here!"
"..."
"..."
"Um, I wish that Jonnie would come back in here and wait patiently for me to fix this with this stone."
After a few more moments of waiting, Jonnie, a cute little Chinese girl who had apparently also been crying moments before, came back into the room, sat with her feet under her butt and her knees together, and looked into Karyn's eyes with a pleading expression. ">)**(##>$)?"
Karyn blinked. She didn't understand a single word that had just come out of Jonnie's mouth.
Oh well, easily fixed.
"I wish that both Jonnie and I could speak and understand any known language of the world easily and fluently, in such a way that a native speaker would consider it to be without a 'funny accent', and that we could also write and read the written version of any of those languages that have a written version, even those with multiple versions.** GASP*!!!!" Karyn breathed hard for a few moments, as she had used her entire breath getting that wish out. She had been so intent on thinking it out completely that she had momentarily forgotten to breathe.
"Karyn! [Are you] 0alright!?0" Jonnie rushed to come to Karyn's aid, which mainly consisted of keeping her from keeling over onto the floor.
Karyn chuckled, "9Yeah,9 8I'm fine...8"
"{Okay...} 8By the way,8 7What did you wish?7"
Karyn smiled, "~I wished we could~ 4speak any language4 6in the world! And6 2write and read them too!2"
Jonnie blinked just once, and then blinked again. She turned that sentence over in her mind a few cycles... "'Okay, but...' (I can't tell) [which is which!]"
