(Author's note: Continuing to use some of the prime branch descriptions, but things are playing out differently)
Jon stepped out of the shower feeling refreshed and clean. He expertly wrapped his towel around his waist, and then used another to make a turban for his hair. he set about drying himself off. Once his body was dry he selected a matching pair of powder blue panties and bra, getting them on with no problems at all, smiling at the way his new tits fit the bra cups perfectly. Next he quickly dried his hair with the hairdryer, and then straightened it with Laura’s hair straighteners as if he’d been doing it all his life. Finally he chose his outfit for the morning, a simple blue vest top, and a pair of white jeans. He completed his ensemble by slipping on a pair of Laura’s glasses out of instinct, along with her wristwatch.
He paused. "Do I wear glasses now?" He asked himself. He took them off, then put them back on...definitely could see without them, but things seemed sharper with them. "I guess I do," he remarked. "Looking good though..."
He headed down the hall and opened up the door to Mikey's bedroom. Inside, he could see a figure sound asleep under the covers. He gently moved to the side of the bed. "Time to get up," he whispered soothingly.
The figure under the covers stirred revealing what looked like a small brown haired boy. Jon felt a strangely protective feeling in his heart as the boy's eyes fluttered open. "Jom," she said.
"Morning, sweetie. Do you want to come down to breakfast?" Jon said, still using that soft tone.
"You look so different," Karyn remarked. She still sounded like Karyn, but much higher pitched.
Jon laughed. "Well, you should see yourself," he said, lifting Karyn out of bed easily in his arms and carrying her over to the mirror.
Karyn looked. "That's me?" She said, sounding confused.
"Yes, sweetie...that's me and that's you..." he said, tossling Karyn's hair before putting her down.
Karyn looked up at him....he was significantly taller than she was now. "Are we still friends?" She asked, innocently.
"Of course, sweetie..." he said, heading toward the drawers and laying out a pair of underoos, socks, a t-shirt, and a pair of shorts for her to wear. "Now...why don't you get dressed and meet me downstairs? I'm just going to check on Maddy," Jon said, not noticing he was using the name Athena had bestowed on Mikey the previous day.
"Okay!" Karyn said, smiling.
Jon headed down the hall and opened the door to Zoe's room. He expected to find Mikey there, but not a large pile of clothes on the bed.
"Don't you knock anymore?" Mikey said, shrilly. "Can't I have some privacy around here?"
"Sorry...I wanted to know if you could come down for breakfast," Jon said. "What are you doing?"
"Getting rid of stuff," Mikey said. "I mean...this is my room now, right? And I hate this stuff...I'm going to take it to that store at the mall and trade it for something I actually like..."
"Well, you should ask before getting rid of all of it."
Mikey stood up, and pushed out his chest. "You tell me...do I look like these clothes are mine now? I would bet the person who used to own that can't pull them off anymore and doesn't give a damn. I mean...look at you...you look like..."
"You can stop there, young lady...man..." Jon said. "I know very well how I look and how you look. I don't have a problem with that. Just...you don't have to challenge everything I say."
Mikey exhaled. "Sorry," he said. "I just..." he sounded almost apogetic.
"I do have a question for you though, while I am here...I am just curious." He walked over to the desk and pulled out one of Zoe's schoolbooks out, a piece of paper, and a pen. He opened it to a random page. "Can you read this page and answer these questions?"
"Why?" he said.
"Indulge me," Jon said.
The boy turned teen shook his head, his long hair swaying as he did, and sat down.
