She quickly and hastily got dressed, brushed her hair, and ran down the stairs. "Tina...what the hell?" A voice said. There was a stranger sitting at the kitchen table, eating. "Why aren't you in school?" The woman had brownish-red hair, and was wearing a blue smock, with an ID card clipped to it.
Tina looked confused. "My alarm didn't go off...I was rushing there now."
The woman sighed. "If that's all it is...if I find out you've been cutting school..." She yawned. "I just did round the clock shifts for two days...I just really want to crawl into bed. And I'm too tired right now. Get to school...we'll talk about this later."
Tina caught a glimpse of the ID card. It said, Athena Black. She suddenly exhaled...the mysterious group had come through. She paused, staring at the woman...who seemed too young to be her mother...And suddenly gave her a hug.
"What's this for? I've done double shifts before..." Athena asked, mystified.
"I...missed you," Tina said.
