Nick carefully lowered the Medallion around his neck,continuing to hold the actual Medallion part,staring intently at the faded letters.He didn't even notice Megan as she came right up to him.Of course she hadn't read the note,so there was no way for her to know the consequences her actions would bring.She had noticed how dirty the medallion was,and thought it should be cleaned up.So she went,still unoticed by Nick,into her room.SHe pulled out a shopping bag full of clothes she was planning to donate to Goodwill,removed an old shirt of hers,and returned to where Nick was.
She tossed the old shirt at him,and it landed right in has hands,right on the Medallion.An icy chill shot through Nick's body,and he looked up at Megan in shock.
"Why did you do that?" Nick shouted,noting how his voice cracked.
""So you could try cleaning that thing,and.........is it just me or is your hair growing?"
Indeed Nick's hair was growing.More then that his hair was lightening in color.Going from his normal black hair,to her light-brown.He felt the hair tickling his neck as it stopped just above his shoulders.His body shrank in more ways then one,his hands becoming smaller,his feet shrinking,his waist contracting.With a little effort he managed to get to his feet,and Megan hurried to his side.
"What's happening?" she asked,startled at the bizarre changes that were happening to her boyfriend.But Nick didn't answer.
He didn't answer for he because he had noticed something else.Megan was just over five feet tall,her entire family being rather short.However she was now taller then him,which could only mean the shirt was..........
"Megan?" he asked with a voice that was nothing like his own."How old were you the last time you wore that shirt?"
