“Ah Joseph welcome to the pool.” Came a voice from behind them. The two of them turned round to see an older woman. She was in her 40s but wore formal business wear similar to the two of them. Well more like Sara than Joseph as his outfit was a mixture of male and female thanks to Lilly and her attempt to give Joseph clothes that would fit his new figure.
“Hi Kassandra, I didn’t see you there,” Joseph said to her.
“I had better get back to work,” Sara said. She seemed frightened of Kassandra for some reason. Joesph would have to ask her why at some point.
“My., My Joseph you have had a visit from the fairy since I last saw you haven’t you,” Kassandra said with a slight grin on her face.
“The fairy?” he asked.
“Yes, the boob fairy. How big are they?” Kassandra asked him trying hard not to laugh.
“Oh, now I get it. According to the person who attached them, they are 36D.” He answered her.
“You will make some of the girls jealous when they get in. In the meantime let’s get you settled in.” Kassandra told him as she started to show him around a part of the office that he rarely visited. Not because he thought that he was above the girls who worked there but because If he needed something typing he just did it. he usually did his own typing. Now for the week ahead, he was going to be working beside people that he barely knew. He had seen them as he had passed them in the office for some reason they never stopped to speak to each other he didn’t know why.
“Oh I have arranged a meeting for 9.30 this morning I would like you to attend as well that way we can sort out any problems that may arise early,” Kassandra said.
“Problems?” He asked
“Yes, I want to make sure that everyone is okay with the situation this week. I know Rebbeca’s email answers a lot of the questions but I want to make sure.” Kassandra answered him.
“Oh okay,” Joseph said as he went to set up his new desk for the week to come.
Just before 9 am Carolyn and Madeline arrived. Soon to be followed by Gabriella, Naomi and just before the clock struck 9 in walked Cindy.
“Okay, girls go and grab a coffee and get set up. Then before we get started we have a meeting at 9.30.” Kassandra informed them.
“So who is in trouble this time?” Cindy asked as she turned around noticing for the first time that someone was sitting at the usually empty desk in the corner.
Gabriella was the first to ask softly. “Why is he sitting there?”
“No idea.” Was Carolyn’s response.
“Maybe that’s what the meeting is about,” Naomi said.
The other four nodded in silent agreement. This just made Joseph feel more awkward than he already did. Sitting there in Lilly’s shirt and jacket. He was sitting in such a way that the five women could not see his chest but he knew that he could not keep it hidden from him for the rest of the week. He hoped that Kassandra would be able to help him.
A little before 9.30 all of them walked into the meeting room and for the first time, the five women saw Joseph's newly developed chest. They had shaken their heads almost in unison as they had read the email that Rebbeca had sent out to all staff to explain what was happening. For his part, Joseph had tried to keep his new attributes hidden until the meeting which meant that he had to stand up in full view of his coworkers.
Madeline was the first to speak “Why is he sitting with us? Couldn’t he sit in his own office?”
“I don’t have an office,” Joseph answered her softly.
“Joe is just a data entry clerk. He does not have an office but clients occasionally pass by where he would normally sit.” Kassandra Told her.
“And they never pass by us.” Naomi figured it out.
“Exactly. That’s why Rebecca thought it would be better if he sat with us.” Kassandra said in response to Naomi.
“He is just another sexist pig.” The 25-year-old Gabriella said angrily
“I am not I am just someone who does not know when to keep his mouth shut,” Joseph told her.
“So why not tell Joanne that you were wrong?” Cindy asked him.
“Because she would always keep reminding me of it,” Joseph told her honestly
“I suppose you are right. I know my brother would always remind me if I lost a bet with him but I think that if you win you should give the money to a charity.” Madeline said only to have the other women nod along in agreement.
“I could do that but only if I win,” Joseph said feeling at that moment more than a little outnumbered.
“Then it's agreed. If Joseph manages to win his wager then his money will be donated to charity. I would like everyone to pass me their suggestions as to which one and we can decide on Friday if things last that long.” Kassandra said to everyone calling the meeting to an end.
Outside Carolyn pulled Joseph to one side “Don’t worry about the others it's just the shock of.” She said looking down at Joseph’s chest.
“Tell me about it I am still getting used to them myself.” He said following her gaze.
“In the meantime Joseph I would like to welcome you as a card-carrying member of the bra wearers of the world.” She said with a wide grin on her face.
“Thanks,” Joseph said returning her smile.
