The pair hugs, and Jon watches as Karen bravely marches onward to an uncertain and undoubtedly difficult day. She remains at the corner of the block, hugging herself to protect what warmth remains in her body. As the silent moments tick on she entertains the thought of kidnapping Sarah, of holding her against her will and forcing her to approve any wishes they want. Her heart beats and her blood runs hot with vindication at the mere thought... But... with a sigh, she discards the idea. She's not a villain, even if Sarah is. Maybe that's why her grandpa entrusted her with the stone to begin with.

Car's drive by as Jon patiently waits on her mom, and more thoughts pass through her mind. Maybe she could find her grandpa and he would know a way to fix it. Or maybe her grandpa already had contingencies wished into place to protect her from things like this. Jon strips her hand free of her glove and grasps the stone tightly. "I wish I could find my grandpa... if he's still alive." Jon mutters while. "I wish... I wish Karen's day goes as well as possible." Her voice begins to tremble as she speaks quicker and quicker. "I wish Sarah weren't such a bitch!" "I wish we could find a quick and easy solution to all of this!" Her voice begins to grow tight with sorrow. "I wish the stone would just work! I... I wish I didn't have to go to the damned dentist today!" She grasps the stone tightly, but as expected nothing changes.

With a sigh, she pockets the stone and puts her gloves back on right as her mom drives up next to Jon.

His mom cracks the window, letting the heat pour out onto Jon's face."Hop on in sweetie Marie." Jon rolls her eyes at the pet name her mom seems to favor for her, but obliges, and scurries on over to the passengers side. "How could you forget sweetheart? I thought you were excited about finally fixing your teeth."

"Oh... yeah..." Jon stammers. "I guess I'm just... Well, I wanted to see Karen first."

His mom nods sagely. "Poor dear. How's her... well, how's everything progressing?"

Jon squirms in his seat not quite sure how to say. "You know, she's transitioning well from being a girl into being a girl." and opts for the simple answer. "She's doing well I guess... She was having a hard time this morning."

"Well it's a good thing she's so sure of it all so soon! She'll be beautiful once she's older, as tall and slender as she is, Karen could be a model." Her mother states resolutely.

Jon had to wonder if his mom's thoughts on Karen were just part of their wish a few minutes earlier or if they were actually her genuine thoughts, but ultimately she had too much else on her mind.

As they speed away her mom says one more thing. "Oh, and sweetheart. Your dentist actually has a full schedule, so we're going to an orthodontic specialist instead. I hope that's ok."

Jon shrugs apathetically, though for the life of her... Something seems off about that...
