As we made our way to the cafeteria for lunch, I couldn't shake off the frustration of being under Nicole's whimsical control. Every step I took felt like a reminder of how powerless I was in this bizarre situation. And to top it all off, Nicole seemed to be relishing every moment of it.

As we approached the lunch counter, Nicole shot me a mischievous grin and whispered, "I wish Jon would choose a girlier meal, like a salad."

I felt a surge of annoyance but found myself inexplicably drawn to the salad options. It was like my mind was being pulled in two directions—part of me wanted to resist Nicole's wish, but another part couldn't help but comply.

Reluctantly, I reached for the salad, feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration. Why did Nicole have to keep making these ridiculous wishes?

As we found a table and sat down, I couldn't help but shoot Nicole a glare. "Seriously, Nicole? A salad?" I muttered under my breath.

She just shrugged, clearly unfazed by my annoyance. "What can I say? I'm in the mood for something light," she replied casually, digging into her own meal with gusto.

I sighed, feeling defeated. "You know, you don't have to keep doing this," I said, hoping to reason with her. "It's really hard to undo wishes, and who knows what kind of mess we could get into."

Nicole waved off my concerns with a dismissive gesture. "Oh, don't worry, Jon. I'm sure you'll figure it out," she said, her tone naively assured.

I frowned, feeling a sense of unease settle in the pit of my stomach. Nicole's nonchalant attitude towards the whole situation was starting to worry me. Did she not realize the potential consequences of her impulsive wishing?

"Why are you doing this, Nicole?" I asked, frustration evident in my voice. "Can't you see how much trouble you're causing?"

But Nicole just flashed me a grin, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Relax, Jon. It's all in good fun. Look, I’ll give you the rock back after lunch. I just want to make a few more changes!"

I felt a mixture of relief and trepidation. I wouldn’t be letting anyone else touch the rock ever again once this was over, that was for sure. And what changes more were Nicole going to make? I couldn’t help feeling that she didn’t fully comprehend that this was my actual life she was messing with.
