As much as it pained me, I turned to Hunter. He looked at me quizzically. I said "Until all of this is sorted out, you are banned from talking to Jake or any of the AEP units from Erosion Clan." His jaw dropped in shock. "No way! I can't do that." he said. Major Idovelli raised his eyebrow. "Why? Is there a particular reason that you need to talk to Conquerors?" he asked. Hunter kept his mouth shut and refused to answer the question. It was a bit late for that. Eventually, Paul detailed the full situation. All of the soldiers were, of course, very angry. "It's fine. We will monitor the situation and ensure that Erosion Clan is kept out of the loop." I assured them. They were not satisfied with this, but they really had no power over us. Our contract was over. Unless they wanted us to enter another with us reporting to Major Idovelli this time, there was nothing they could do other than keep a closer eye on us in the future. Hunter looked beside himself with grief. I felt bad. Risking the information about the mini EMP leaking was not something we could do. Not even the Researchers could know this.

Being that 06-003 was gone and en route to Wind Clan, there was no reason for the major and his captains to stay here. I told them that we would keep in touch. Megan and Courtney were the ones that I personally designed. I saw that it made them a bit warmer to me. They were willing to talk to me about what was going on. 06-003 was much more shy. Luckily for him, the officers of Wind Clan were also keeping in touch with him. Their conversation was more mundane. Every few minutes, 06-003 would report where they were and their estimated time of arrival. Sometimes they would encounter a bad driver. That was reported too. I was glad they were doing alright. "I think that you were really brave holding out like you did, 06-003. After resting up, you will be right back to helping people and solving crime." I said. I wanted to get some level of rapport with him. He said "It was scary. I'll be helping from our clan building from now on." I sighed and said "That is a shame. You were amazing. Courageous, selfless, persistent and reliable. I think that the people are going to need you again."

Calling him all those things was not a stretch at all. From what I heard from the members of the Titron Syndicate, he fit every single description. And having it come from his enemies was really high praise. He was quiet for a bit following the tongue bath I just gave him. "I guess that I could try to try helping people again. I do like helping people when others are being mean to them." 06-003 said. That was good. It seemed my words did help pump him up. It would be a shame if trauma kept him off of the streets. We needed all hands on deck if we wanted to defend ourselves from the Conqueror faction. We also had to contend with humans now as well. This mini EMP was no joke. We did not even know what it would do to the PEP and PEA units that were caught in its area of effect. It could be super deadly. The only way to know that for 100% sure would be to go over to one of them and turn it on in their vicinity. Obviously, that meant doing it in our territory was not an option. We would need to test it all out in an enemy's territory. Toxic Clan tried to arrest me once. I wanted to go over.
