Going through the various hallways, we eventually heard the noises of someone approaching us. All of us stopped where we were and waited. It did not take long before the source of the noise came to us. It was the pair of the enemy's X-frames. Only the clan leader and the second in command would be using them. Brett waved his wand at one of them and the female model fell to the ground. All the energy had been drained. Now there was only 1 to deal with. The pilot of the female model was still straining to move, but nothing was happening. "I can't move! What happened to my X-frame!?" the PEP unit cried out. The remaining one glared at us and charged. The left arm was raised and a ice blue ball was shot. I was quadrupedal and much bigger than the others. That made me a bigger target. I was slow to dodge and it him me in the flank. It took a sixth of my health. That was a lot of damage for someone that was over level 100. I hissed in pain because it stung. The X-frame looked at his palm in shock. "A malfunction? Get the fuck out of that thing before we blow you up in there." I warned.
She had no choice but to crawl out the back of the X-frame. It was not going anywhere anytime soon. There was nothing that could be done.
