Karyn started down the hall, but paused when she spotted three students walking together in her direction. All of them had this disdainful look on their faces, as they looked around - a look she had seen before ... as if they were better than everyone around them. Except ... it wasn't who she expected to see doing that. Namely, it was that fat nerdy geeky boy Leonard Drullers, the equally-fat girl Gladys Brewer, and that emo boy Derek Lettman.
"What are you staring at?" Gladys snapped at Karyn, shooting eyes full of daggers at her.
"Everyone else is looking confused about what just happened...you're not," Karyn pointed out.
Gladys seemed to pull back a bit. "Well, some of us have a reputation to maintain," she said. Derek and Leonard seemed to nod at that.
"What reputation?" Karyn asked.
Gladys gave her another nasty look. "Shouldn't you be doing something other than bothering us?" She said. She spotted the necklace. "Like reading the bible or something?"
"There's nothing wrong with reading the bible, why don't you try it sometime?" Karyn said, then paused. Where did that come from?
"Come on, Gladys," Leonard said. "Let's find...whoever we were looking for..." He felt confused about who though...someone who they generally followed around.
Karyn took a deep breath and turned and found herself face to face with Athena Devries. She had on a men's suit jacket over her dress. "Shouldn't you be heading to class?" She said, sternly.
