"The Orc Warlord falls to his knees, arrows protruding from his sides, Gaereth's battle axe firmly lodged in its skull. The remaining Orcs scatter, leaderless and defeated." Colleen said.
"Nice Jon, took down that bastard." Pat said, lifting her beer to the sky as she finished it off.
"It was nothing, really." Jon said, letting out a victorious belch. "All in a days work."
"Give me a second and I'll figure out your treasure." Colleen said.
The five of them were seated around the table with Colleen at the head. Being GM gave her a place of power. Jon sat to her left, Pat to her Right, beside Pat sat Phil, the engineering student. Next to Jon was Wanda, the biology major, and resident alcohol purveyor.
Jon and Pat were the youngest at the table, freshly out of High school. Colleen a year older. Phil was nearing graduation. Jon had stumbled upon the group, year by year it varied in size but at this small school they were role playing geeks and kept the tradition alive.
"You seem a bit down today Jon." Wanda asked.
"Yeah, I think I've got to do something about my weight, my room mate was making fun of me today." Jon replied.
"Why don't you come to the gym with me, I know I was a victim of the freshman 15 as they call it." Wanda said. Jon looked over, that was something he'd have a hard time imagining. Wanda was what is generally recognized as a smoke show. Toned in all the right places, pleasantly soft where it mattered. She was the real deal. Even an invitation to see her at the gym was something that excited jon.
"Yeah, that'd be a great idea." Jon said.
Te group finished up the rest of the night, drinking and laughing until the booze overpowered their ability to understand the dice. Then they made their separate ways home.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow at 7 for the gym." Called out Wanda as she stumbled towards her apartment.
Jon barely registered that and merely waved to her and continued walking home. Finding solace in his sheets and drifting off to sleep.
