As Trisha continued to drive towards home in the newly free flowing traffic she was looking forward to seeing her husband Matt. They had been married for two years now and had just recently bought a house together. They were a typical young and happy married couple. So of course they were hoping to start a family soon.
Trisha always thought she and Matt would have a beautiful child together. She wasn't full of herself, but she considered herself fairly attractive. Trisha was 26, slim, and had long, straight black hair. Trisha was 1/4 Korean, her maternal grandmother was full Korean. She had smaller, but very pert B cup breasts. She was 5 foot 9 and had a lean, athletic body build from her regular trips to the company gym each morning before work.
Trisha's husband Matt was 27, 6 feet tall, and had sandy brown hair. He had always been handsome to Trisha, and he used to be in great shape when he and Trisha were first married, but he hadn't been going to the gym much over the last year. He was not fat, just a little plump. He had a part time job, so Trisha knew he COULD get to the gym a lot more if he wanted to.
Trisha USED to be the one in their relationship that pushed healthy living. But when her focus shifted to her career her ability to contribute energy to things like that waned considerably. When she had been interning at HHC financial last year she lost a lot of time with her husband but they still had enough "quality" time to get by. They just didn't have as much time to go to the gym together. But for the last few months Trisha felt like they really didn't see each other enough anymore. For the last three months her new job as a financial analyst at Talvers accounting had her working crazy hours, just like she had again today.
All this thinking of time and effort raised another concern of Trisha's, how the hell was she going to have time to have and raise a baby? Trisha wanted a family of course, but now that she had this demanding career there was no easy way to just call "time out" and have a baby. Sure Matt's part time job would allow him more time at home with their son or daughter, but what about pregnancy and maternity leave? If Trisha just popped in to her new job one day pregnant and then took a few months off after the baby was born they couldn't legally fire her but it would probably hurt her long term career path.
Trisha thought it wasn't fair that she had to have the career AND have the children in their relationship. As she pulled into her driveway after a 14 hour workday and saw the flicker of the TV Matt was watching in the living room Trisha felt jealous of Matt and all his free time. Thinking out loud she casually said, "I wish Matt could be the one to have our children."
Trisha had no idea that she had a wishing stone in her pocket.
