“My fantasy... what I want...” Jon began.
‘Yes,’ Sarah thought. ‘Show us your deepest, most degenerate desires...’
“Is to be on Family Feud, and troll Steve Harvey with ridiculous answers, that inexplicably are always on the board! And then he’ll be really surprised and stammer in frustration! Maybe he would ask a question like ‘What would someone bury in their back yard’ and I would answer ‘their inflatable sex dolls’, and Steve would fall to his knees in shock, and the rest of my family would say ‘good answer’ but Steve would say ‘no, that’s not a good answer!’ but then it would be up on the board and he would raise his hands up and yell. And then we’d guess ‘the bodies of our victims’, and he would freeze in shock, so we’d ask him ‘well where do you bury them Steve?’ and then he’d break down and start crying.” Jon said.
Sarah was speechless. That was truly nothing like what she was expecting.
“Oh, that’s good!” Karyn said.
“What?!” Sarah said, more baffled, looking at Karyn. She was truly expecting something a bit more... well, what she expected out of guys. “Ok, well, that doesn’t sound too bad. We can do that. But way more lukewarm than I was expecting. So Karyn, what’s your fantasy?”
It wasn’t an order, so she didn’t feel overwhelmingly compelled to spill the beans.
“Karyn?”
“You’re going to think it’s stupid...”
“Possibly,” Sarah conceded. But it surely couldn’t be as G-rated as Jon’s. What would she want? To turn every man and boy on Earth into a girl? Or did she want all manner of depravity with Jon? Maybe she would conjoin their bodies together. Turn him into her slave. Turn him into a piece of clothing and wear him. Sarah’s mind flipped through possibilities.
“I want... to go back in time to show up at a video game developers convention in 1980, and when they’re all demonstrating games like Pac Man and Space Invaders, I would show off a game from this century, and see them all go out of their minds, that their competition is going to absolutely destroy them all. Something brutal. Like one of the doom games, doom 3 for the xbox or later. Maybe doom eternal.”
“Oh! That’s even better than my idea!” Jon said.
“Huh...” Sarah said, squinting and grasping her right hand over her face, laughing a little. “You know, that actually does sound kind of fun. Also, wow. You two, are so, made for each other. I kind of don’t even want to steal him from you now...” Sarah said, sighing. “I don’t know if we can do time travel. But there’s only one way to find out... so, do you want to try that, or Family Feud, or something else?”
