Killing it in the sales department and ratings, I knew that we were a total shoo-in for the next Jukies. All of our recording equipment was smashed. We would not be able to make anything new until the renovations were finished and we got new stuff. We would probably need to think about what we would do with all of the groups going forwards. Paul and Brett would have some opinions on that. On the looking for Cold Clan issue, we were waiting for the undercover agents to find information. We had no clue how long that would take. In Dwan Town, we needed to get a new mayor installed. The government could only have martial law for so long. That meant a new election season. People were also much more wary of PEP units now. I wondered what candidates would rise. Basically it was the same 2 from the last time. That made a lot of sense. Both believed that they had a real shot at winning this time. The exit polls proved that they had some level of sway here. Now it was just up to convincing the ones that voted for Owen last time. No one wanted to risk voting for another PEP.
08-001 and Jake were still with us. Hunter was very happy. Paul, Brett and I were actually very suspicious. When 3 more members of Erosion Clan came over. We had a reason to demand answers. Enough was enough. One of them was 08-002. This was a serious situation. There were 3 Conqueror AEP units here. That was enough to flip a transmission hub. We brought Hunter along to make Jake talk. The clan engineer and a PEA unit was here with the AEP unit. "Why are you guys here?" I asked. It fell on deaf ears. Paul nudged Hunter and he asked the same question. Jake sighed and turned to him. "Hunter. There are some issues with the clan. Because of your clan meddling, it had emboldened Sonic Clan." Hunter asked what that meant. It was the engineer that answered this time. "They foolishly think that destroying us is the way to become the human government's new pets. It's so disgusting." she said. Looking at 08-002, Hunter asked if he was also Jake's child. Jake nodded and said "Yes. I incubated both of them inside my X-frame." I just crossed my arms. I needed to know.

Cutting to the chase, I asked "So, why are you guys here and not helping your clan leader? You actually have 2 healthy AEP units. It's not impossible to win, right?" They looked at each other. "Our task was to reach out and get either alliances or support in order for us to beat them back." 08-002 said. That made sense. "We can't ally with you or give you anything because of our alliance with the military. It's very sad, but there isn't anything you can get by staying here." "Why haven't you kicked us out yet?" the engineer asked with a mocking smirk. I rolled my eyes. "I think family is a great thing. Jake and Hunter go way back, so I said it's alright for Jake and 08-001 to stay as long as they want. I guess that extends to 08-002. You 2 are taking advantage of the offer. You guys don't even like humans." I told them. Jake stood up from his chair and said "I understand. You do have a point. I think it's time to return to our clan." I was still suspicious of them. Hunter's mood took a big dip. "It was great meeting you again. Call me if you need me! The clan can't help, but I will come running." he said.
