As a consequence of this hard battle, we were all rewarded handsomely. It made a lot of sense to me. In the history of this new continent, there had never been such a consequential battle for humanity. The military occupied both the Magnetic Clan's clan building and transmission hub. The government's scientists would be able to study it for data. Maybe they would gain some insights. They also were now occupying the Void Clan's clan building as well. That was what the treaty that they signed called for. Thanks to them putting their lives on the lives with us in the studio and at the hub, Major Watts unilaterally pulled back a bit in their favor. They were allowed to arm themselves, but with government issued weapons. They also got to retain full control of their transmission hub. All of us humans were given a medal and declared as real heroes for or efforts. None of the military members got a promotion, but they did get a nice lifetime pension. Everyone who died in the battle were buried in their military cemetery. Even dead PEPs got separate closed casket funerals a full month later.

We in Sixteenth Notes Clan got a government grant to rebuild the studio. That was really nice. We made sure that the building was reinforced to prevent other damages from battles in the future. This made us celebrities on the continent. We were recognizable as award winning artists and musicians before. Now we were heroes in their eyes, defenders of humanity. The same thing happened on a smaller scale with the 3 AEP units. When it came to faction on faction warfare, it only counted when dealing with the attack or defense of a clan building or transmission hub. We made the tactical decision to abandon the clan building for the siege. Only 12-001, Bryar and Aidan were considered veterans of a war. The first of its kind. This gave them a heroic aura about them. One that other cyborgs could perceive. They would be the first among equals wherever they were with other AEPs. People were really shocked when we ousted Owen from power as mayor. There was no love lost between us. He turned on me halfway into the election campaign. There was no tears shed over that then.

Now, we had to turn our attention to Cold Clan. They were still active in the eastern quadrant. Heat Clan was right on our border as well. Major Watts had proven his right to lead with success and pulled quite ahead of all his counterparts in the other big quadrants. That was still no reason to rest on laurels. He knew this most of all. At the end of the day, he wanted the continent to be free of the cyborg menace. After taking a couple weeks off to recover and destress, he was back to call a meeting on what to do next. Unfortunately. we did not have much for him. Our clan building was still going through repairs. So was the music studio on top of it. Each hallway addition and room needed 5 days. 2 to clear everything out so it could start fresh and then 3 to build everything to its original state. We had to start with the hallways leading to the generator room. We had a lot of rooms down there as we had a lot of time and money on our hands to have them built. They needed to be powered up by generators or they would not function. We needed 2 generator rooms to power everything up.
