As someone not part of the military, they did not have to answer to me at all. We were just a private contractor that would aid them in their fight against the big Conqueror faction. It was amazing that I was able to get them to get alliances with the Advocate faction clans. The only problem was Void Clan and their criminal problem. All of the other clans seemed to have full control over their areas. Then again, they were just separate buildings among a big town or city. It was not hard for the local PEP units to band together to clear the area out of humans and let the clan leaders occupy the area where the transmission hub was. It was not hard to own a building near it. That then became their clan building. Things would be so much easier if the compound was occupied by a different faction. If it was a Conqueror clan, we would have already stormed it. I knew that Nicoletta would be all for it. If it was a clan of the Researcher faction, we could just ignore it. At least until all the Conquerors were destroyed. They were clearly on borrowed time over there. We all continued onwards to Dwan Town.
Being that the mood was low, it was not surprise when Parker came up to me. The 3 of them were really upset. I could not do anything for them now. It took a long week for the military to draft up the paperwork. It was time for us to get a final answer from Void Clan. They were to come to our music studio. Major Watts was also coming here for the signing. This was the most secure place in their region. Both of the Galleon sisters and the other captains would be here as well. Every one of us in the clan was here and waiting for their arrival. We did not want to screw this up. Neither did the military. Paul, Brett, Hunter and I were here as the officers of the clan. The AEP units were there making sure that things were going well. They were glorified cheerleaders. Seeing as our clan's PEP units were low quality models, it really helped their self esteem and morale. There was not much that we had to do other than be ready if something went down. All the commandos arrived with Major Watts. It was pretty amazing to see him in person for the first time. He looked at us all and smiled wide.
