Doing so was easy. I gave the money needed for the clan building main hall, PEP Lab, and PEA Lab to Joseph. I also doubled it so that they could get a generator room and expand in whatever way the felt best. The nearest safehouse for PEP units was a really run down lemonade store. Not many humans cared for a shop that only sold lemonade. Due to that, it was pretty devoid of human customers. On the off chance that one strolled in, the play was for everyone to act natural. Ramon, Mateo and I were humans, so the 3 PEP units there were just acting like drinking lemonade like this was a coffee shop was a normal thing humans do. Joseph went over and handed the card with the money on it to the cyborg at the counter. "What can I do for you today!?" he asked Joseph. Joseph said "I'd like a party special please." The one at the counter's eyes rose up. "A party special, huh!? That's a tall order, Joseph. Where do you want it delivered?" was the response he gave. All the cyborgs in the shop were staring at the counter. Joseph told him the address of the house I bought for them.

Clearly, this was a big deal. It wasn't everyday that a PEP unit established his own clan. The one at the counter dropped down and took out a special tablet. "Alright. Who should we call when we fill the order?" he asked Joseph as he looked down at the screen. "Ramon Juarez is the host of the party." Joseph said. The one at the counter placed the tablet down on the counter. "I'm sorry. I don't think that I heard you correctly. Who did you say that we should call when we fill the order, Joseph!?" he asked menacingly. "Ramon Juarez is the host of the party. Please log it. I might have a job soon." Joseph said. The safehouse employee picked up the tablet and tapped on it with furious jabs. "Who else will be at this party!?" the cyborg demanded. Joseph listed all of the members. Wayne and Peter were referred to as "the green agent known as...". "Fine. We should arrive in time. Please sign for this on the tablet." He then handed the tablet to Joseph. He entered something and handed it back. "Expect us to be there tomorrow." the one at the counter said. Joseph nodded and returned to us.

Using codes like this seemed really tedious to me. It was fine for them because they were all in a hostile environment. Humans were also right there. Clan Edge had now been registered. With this being the case, I could officially ally with them. I asked Joseph if Wind Clan was in Ultron City. They were not. The transmission hub was in the industrial district of Jolto City. That was hours away by foot. I really did not want to walk all the way there. It was a killer on my feet. That was when Mateo said "You could come back to our place for a bit. Most of us already have our own places to crash in the city. Hanging out in that house in the suburbs has got to sound nice." That was true. I was on a mission though. I looked at Wayne and Peter. "Is there a way to get through to Wind Clan?" I asked. "It's easy to put a call in from the safehouse." Peter informed me. I asked him to call them. If they wanted me to help them negotiate with the government, I would go there. If not, I could just hang out here for a bit and start heading home. He went back to their lemonade shop to make the call. We waited.

I groaned out loud when I heard the answer. They wanted help, but they were not going to be visited for a week and a half. That was the split right down the middle for the best of both worlds. I would have to stay here for a few days with Clan Edge before making my way over there. It was then time to go see the house I had bought. If we were going to be allies, it would be better to actually bond and hang out with them. We went there together on foot, so it took a while. The cyborgs were fine with this as it was impossible for them to get tired. Ramon, Mateo and Fabien were complaining all the way there. Their whining made me actually feel worse while walking. That was a new feeling. One I definitely did not like. When we finally got there, I realized that I would not be able to get up to the second floor. The stairwell was too narrow. A sigh escaped my lips. I was not going to be the one using this place as a base. I was going to be leaving in a few days. Clan Edge would remain. Wayne and Peter would be living here to be specific. Everyone else lived in the city. They could drive here.
