Even Nicoletta did not hate the settlement that much. We parted ways. I went inside the music studio and saw that Brett was back. He told me that Magnetic Clan was wise to our scheme. They refused to reveal where their transmission hub or clan building was. 12-001 was still with us for the time being. Paul met up with one of the other captains serving under Major Watts. They were going to Pierce Clan to work out an alliance. I had to report our failure to get Void Clan to the table as an ally. It was not a good start for us. Brett waved it off. He did not care. He and Paul could win the whole war on their own. It took a week before Paul came back. He had been able to get them to the table. Major Watts was going to hear them out. Water and Radiation Clan also wanted to reach out to the government. Major Watts told us that because both of them were in the northern quadrant, they would be dealing with Major Rachel Saltine. It was Water Clan that asked for us to mediate on their behalf for them. If I could do this, this would wipe out the failure with Void Clan. I took that mission solo.
Making my way there was still pretty brutal. That did not matter. I went directly to the nude beach to find them. If they were not there, I knew where their clan building was from last time. 05-001 had saw me before I saw him. He called out and waved me over. I went to them and saw he was with 05-002. The second AEP unit was a carbon copy of the original. I greeted him warmly. Both of them were ab bit nervous. "Your clan broke off the alliance with us." 05-001 said accusingly. That was true. "I apologize for the disrespect. Circumstances demanded that our relationship change, but I never forgot our bonds. That is why I have come as soon as I hear you requested that we be here for your meeting with Major Saltine. "We're not meeting with Major Saltine right now. Captain Ulvon is joining us." 05-002 said. That made sense. Major Watts also sent out his captains to scout them. I asked what they felt they needed our help with. It seemed the government had been really aggressive in the north in response to the craziness in the east. Clan leadership was nervous. I could understand that.
Getting this through was my only goal here. We spent the day together until they were called to their clan building. There was something about the beach that I liked. If I had to put my finger on it, it was probably because I never got to go often. It was actually the arcade on their boardwalk. There was a back room that led down to where they had their main hall. We waited there until the captain arrived. His name was Kyle Ulvon. He was flanked by 2 of his close companions. I could already tell that they were extremely aggressive to us right from the start. Kyle sneered as he talked to the leaders in the arcade. He looked around and said "So this is where you've all been hiding. Kind of gross for you to be watching humans frolic around naked." "There is nothing wrong with the human form." the leader of Water Clan said. Kyle frowned at that. "I've been sent here to see if you're worthy of having peace talks. Let's get this over with." he said in a tone that clearly showed he would rather be anywhere else. I was back up. Water Clan took them around. It was them that cleaned up the coast.
