We were a third of the way through of the gestation period. I was able to keep in contact with Lisa throughout all this time. She was able to talk with Zayne. "Z's always a bit squirrely when it comes to this stuff. It seems that they are doing fine in the places you picked out. The other places got found out. Special forces raid them every week. Sometimes they get one of the 'borgs. Sometimes the squads get wiped out. That's all he could tell me." I asked if they were safe. She scoffed. "We're low level. It works out for us. We don't get told much. It also means that we keep out of the danger zone for the most part. I'm thankful for that." she said. That was good. I wished her luck and the hung up the phone. Even if they were all wiped out by the special forces of the government, we would be able to produce a baker's dozen of AEP units. I was happy about that. We did our work in the studio and got out a lot of music from Robotic Strings. Cryus and Cain put out some nice duets. So did Cole and Cody. We mixed and matched the 4 to make a whole album of songs. Those would all be spread out.

Some aspiring young musicians were in the town. Erica and Marcus could feature on some of their songs to keep them active. The human band had 5 members and was called "Thumpers". They were a new pop rock band. I was happy that we got to do something new. One did drums. Another was the keyboardist. The final members were a guitarist and singer. Erica and Marcus got to take the lead on the songs they were featuring. That made sure that all of the public would have some buy in on them initially. People were not on our backs as much now that we were actively producing and releasing music. We all went down to the clan building to see all the new AEP units spawn. When the 9 weeks were up, the female X-frames were ready to bear the AEP units. It was not a mammalian live birth. It was just a constant stream of nanite paste that came from them. After several gallons, the nanites formed themselves into the AEP units. They were 7 feet 1 inch tall. They looked like I was expecting them to. Their skin was matte gray with harder black biometal plating over it on their limbs.

Mammalian birth would be a bit too graphic for me to stand. I did not know what I was expecting, but it was not for them to just spew the gray nanite paste out from their pussies onto the floor. Paul just grimaced in disgust. Brett was just watching it happen blankly. I did not know what he was thinking. I did not think I wanted to know what he was thinking at the moment. Hunter was totally into it. "That's fucking hot." he muttered to himself. The clan members that were standing with us seemed to share the same thoughts. They did not say anything out loud, but I did notice that the guys all took a slightly wider stance. The few girls, in contrast, closed their legs a bit tighter together. It seemed that this was arousing to them. To be fair to them, X-frames were the ideal for the PEP units. They were bigger stronger and way more powerful than any single PEP unit could hope to be on their own. For a race of ace cyborgs that had no inherent desire to breed, nothing was more appealing or close to sexual than sinking into an X-frame. Adding to that fact was the relatively low stats and status as PEPs.
