They confiscated all of his work on the laptop, threw the book at him and put him on death row. I asked if he wanted to join our clan. "You mean a clan clan? PEP clan!?" he asked me. I smirked and nodded. Kicking his feet dejectedly, he said "Sure. But let's face it. I'm not getting out of here." I looked at Brett and Paul. It was time to go. I gave the signal. They smashed out the plexiglass and shot the guards in the room. I reached out to Hunter with a smirk. "If you want to live, come with us!" I said. He chuckled and said "Okay!" Hunter joined our party, and we all fought our way out of the prison. It was not over until he got in the van. Paul boosted him all the way to level 112. It made him tired, and he fell asleep in the back. Now that he was part of the clan, I did not need to worry about those androids messing with us anymore. We just needed to capture one that got too close to us and give them to Hunter for some reprogramming. They would not know what hit them. I got a big call from one of the knights from Ether. They wanted a status report now. We were colonists and pilgrims here.
Giving them something to do was a more than reasonable request. We were on the way back from Kelvin City. When we got close enough to the limits of Dwan Town, we stopped. Hunter was still asleep in the back of the car. I thought this was as a place as any. We went on to the untamed grass and Brett spawned in a small chapel. It was mostly glass and wood. All the paladins and monks that survived would be able to work here and do what was needed for matters of the faith. It was pretty great. All of us could now get them and allow them to do their thing. We had totally forgot the whole point of evangelizing our god. Being Players in a whole new world was way too fun to think about that. If they ever needed us for something, we would obviously be there for them. That was a given. Hunter was still groggy when he was taken out the van. We then began ferrying the residents of our self made apartment block. They were all really happy to finally have a foothold on the continent. Paul, Brett and I were all praised for finding this location. They were going to handle the rest. It was fine with us.
Waking Hunter up fully was not all that hard. I turned to him and smiled. "Did you really think that I would let you die after that hack on the PEP unit. I do not abandon the people that help me out. Can you hack the androids?" He blinked and said "That's why all you guys broke me out of prison? To fuck with the androids? I guess I'm in too deep now, huh?" I just nodded. He crouched down looked over at me. "We need to get them hooked up to a computer. A really good one." I nodded and said "We can set up an office upstairs. There are many apartments for private living." Paul just nodded his head. We had some for the founding members. Adding one more would not hurt us too bad. "Well, let's get it started. We don't want to get caught by the police now." Brett said quickly. As we were getting ready to go inside the building, the PEP units emerged from the hallway. It was clear they were not pleased to see Hunter. I explained the situation to them. Hunter gave a small wave. They still did not like it. Too bad we were the leaders. What we said was the law. They all had to obey and accept it or else.
