Quick just furrowed his brow. "We never tell them that. Just like we don't tell them about the safehouses in the city or the Foundry." Zayne agreed. "When they need us to hack or take a few bullets, they contract us. That's all we do for them. There is no need to let them know our location every moment of the day?" he said. "Did you find a place for the next stage?" Lisa asked. Mary said "We have to be sure that it's a place only PEP units would look and can access. It will take time." "Time that you don't have. Phobia is hunting you guys. It might not be only them either." the man said. This was a very urgent matter. She then ducked from the conversation for a bit. When she came back, she had a large map of the continent. "You guys need to look for a place to do your thing, right? He's right you know. We don't have time." The 4 cyborgs looked at each other and then at me. I got another ping in my main menu for the game. I now had to choose the location for them. I just sighed out loud. Having the map in front of me was fine. I looked all over the map for something I could pull out my ass.

I pointed at an anomaly on the map. "What's up with here?" I asked. It looked like there was supposed to be a large city, but it was not listed as one. The woman looked and said "That's Ghost Town. After a corpo war went south, the losers set off a tactical nuke on the doorstep of their rivals and fled. They hired a company full of drones to build the city in an open area that was being reclaimed from the cybermonsters. The war ended up wiping them out and the execs died, but they paid in advance. "And the city was built anyway?" I asked. She shrugged. "What's a drone care about who's going to live there?" Mary chimed in. "It's a massive private corpo town, but with no administration. It was overrun with the homeless and outlaws." Zayne added "The city limits are said to be enforced tightly because its private, but really anyone that can hop a fence or 2 can make it easily." I smirked and put my hand there. I said "Let's go there. It seems as good as any place. PEP units have superhumans stats. You can jump easy." "How are you going to get everyone chosen there!? It is still an open area."

Frankly, it seemed a bit too hard for us to coordinate. To the Northeast of the continent there was an archipelago of 5 islands. There was one in particular that looked like a big, circular hole between 3 other islands. From the cartography of the map, there was a small mountain range. I pointed there and said "Let's all go there. It seems as good as any." An island secluded from the rest of continent sounded nice. Jimmy scoffed and said "How the hell are our people going to get over there!? The seas in that region are all unnavigable." I said "You can fly there. Clan buildings have archwings that you can attach to any X-frame." Quick spoke up and said "You need time and money for the resources to build them. That is why some of us partner with syndicates in the first place." That made sense. I rolled my eyes. That was probably another reason they came to us with this. We were probably the only clan in the game that could self-finance "the next stage", whatever the hell that meant. "Our Clan has lots of money and resources. Let us handle all the costs. You can just send these decisions."
