Jon woke up around lunchtime. There was no sign of Sarah in the house since his mother was not there this weekend she must have stayed out all night. This was lucky for him he felt sure that he not have heard the end of it if she had been there and he was still in his bed until this time. Unlike him, Sarah had not been active for an unknown length of time last night. For her, while he and Tina had been watching the blue men carry the new member of the Saunders family inside her house no time had passed. Jon himself did not know how much time had passed between the tik of 4 am and the tok of 4.01 am. The only reason he had not been away from the house for longer was the intervention of Dr. Schreber, his friend according to the note that was now lying on the dresser next to his phone.

Just as he looked towards his phone the text alert went off. He reached for it and saw that it was a message from Tina his current best friend.

Hi Jon-Boy I will meet u where we met earlier and we can go and meet our friend

Jon read the message again noticing that it was more cryptic than a message he would have received from Karyn. It was the small things that showed the differences between the two girls. Things that no one else would have noticed but he did. Now he thought of it, it was the same with Sarah and Zoe. For the most part, the replacement acted like the original anyone not paying close attention would have thought they were the same person but look closer and you could see the differences.

More or less as Jon was heading down to get something to eat Tina was on the phone reassuring her mother that everything was fine and that Danni Smith did not need to come over besides she was heading out soon and there would be no one in the house to let her in. It had taken a good fifteen minutes to convince Bethany Black that her daughter was being honest with her. She could trust Tina, she was a good girl no matter the issues she was having at school. She was sure that the McMillan girl was to blame. It was just that the school would always take the side of her and her family. Like most of the town, they just wanted an easy life.

Dr Schrebers’ employers did not bother with what he did in his spare time as long as he was there when he was needed for their plans and he did his best not to let them down. However, he was sure that they would not like what he had planned for that afternoon. No, they would not like it one little bit. In an hour and a half, he would be meeting up with Jon Madison. The young man had been a thorn in their side all week. At this meeting, he would be able to find out if he would be able to help him or if would he have to come up with some way of stopping him. If he could find one that is.
