When Jon and Tina returned to Jon’s home about thirty minutes later they opened the piece of paper. Dr. Schreber had given them.
Hello my friends, sorry for cutting your adventure short but you could not go inside the warehouse carrying your rock. The power that it welds would have been detected by my employers in seconds and you would have both been running for your lives within seconds. That was something that neither of us could afford at the moment. Please meet me at the address below at 2. pm this afternoon and will explain as much as I can then.
The note was signed. Your friend
“Are you going to meet him?” Tina asked. “He knows more about what is going on than we do. So it might be a good thing to do. Besides I will have you there as backup.” Jon said turning towards Tina. He had to remind himself sometimes that this was not Karyn. It was nothing against Tina. She acted so much like Karyn would with what was happening and she looked so much like Karyn had pre-wish enhancements but it was not his friend at least not the one he wished was there right now anyway.
“I need to find out what is going on with these blue-men and he is the only one who is willing to give us any answers. So I think that we should get some sleep and meet up later before we do anything and decide what we doing next.” Jon said he hoped with some authority. Tina thought for a minute or two trying to come up with a reason not to meet this Doctor but she couldn’t. The two friends parted ways for what was left of the night to try and get some sleep.
Meanwhile in a mist-shrouded building.
“How went everything?” 1 asked. “No interruptions this time although there was something.” 2 replied. “What?” 1 Asked. “Well our monitors picked up a disruption for a minute or two but we couldn’t pinpoint it.” 2 told the others gathered around the table. “It must have been that boy again. We have to stop him.” 1 said. “The plans are in motion and soon everything will be back on track.” 3 said. “Good, good. I do so hate it when we will fall behind schedule.” 1 said with a smile as the three of them left the table and the room.
