Waiting for the children to be born would take a while in the meantime, it was time to look at the menus and the map. The City we made our base in was called Rekha. It was one city of many in Thogia Kingdom on the continent of Geomore. Thogia was bordered by Krepia Kingdom to the north, The Avopan Confederacy to the south and the Holy Menad Empire to the west. To the east was the Bebia Ocean. Our kingdom was ruled by the royal family of House Mara's Stiburg Dynasty. There were 5 large duchies, each with several cities, towns and villages. The 5 duchies were each ruled over by a duke in a shiny castle town. Those duchies were Mara, the new capitol of the country and the richest duchy due to naval trade; Yotis, the breadbasket where most of the farming was done; Yatus, a very resource rich area with lots of mountains and mines; Buzar, where the other non human races were forced to stay in an uneasy peace and Krepia, the old capitol. It was sacked and raided in the civil war that rocked their nation. It was now the poorest region. Deity worship was the strongest there.

Our coven was at level 6. It was pretty good, but could be better. Looking at all of the other covens, we were actually in the top 8 in the kingdom. That was nice to see. All of them were level 8 or better. It was something for us to aspire to. Rekha was a city in the duchy of Yotis. When looking at just Yotis we shot up to number 2. I looked for more ways to raise our level. Aside from ranking up as adventurers or taking Mage Guild missions, there was actually a few more ways. There was taking spoils in battle with other mages, possessing legendary items, clearing dungeons, taking positions at the guild and noble patronage. We could get points for beating other covens in the guild. I think that was cool. If we could get our hands on something crazy powerful, that would be great too. None of us were craftsman. We could not make anything that would rise to that level. Dungeons were really dangerous. They were filled with monsters and traps. I did not want to risk my incubi. Bertie and Fulko were both worth 2 points as Silver Adventurers. That left with taking up a guild position and noble patronage.

Joining the guild as staff or the a noble's retinue would be great for us. The Mage's Guild had need of instructors, scouts and leadership positions. Guild instructors were the teachers that helped newbie members with spells and tips on how to become good mages. Scouts were those that traveled around the country and continent to find things that were concerning. Those concerns would then become new missions. Like any corporation or nation, the guild needed a grandmaster, vice-grandmaster, chief operations officer, chief human resources officer and executive secretary. Each major city had a branch of the guild that had officer positions as well. Noble families could also hire coven members as part of their retinues. They had positions that they could bring into their employ. There were bodyguards and champions that could be taken by any martial class; confessors that were for religious classes, usually the clerics and monks and doctors which was for anyone that was really good at healing. Taking a position or getting patronage rose us a full rank on that alone. We had no offers as of yet.
