Last time took forever because they were scrambling to find so many Bronze Adventurers to come fight us. When I got back to the club, I called them up. "Excuse me!? It is my fault. I must not have heard you correctly. Did you just say you needed 9 Bronze Adventurers and over a dozen Silver Adventurers for your coven confirmations!?" the receptionist asked incredulously. I sighed and said "Yes. I'm sure you can ask about the last time our coven came through Robal City. How long will it take to gather them? We can wait a week." "A week!? Are you out of your mind!?" was the hysterical response I got. "Take a deep breath and focus. How long will it take?" I asked him again. I was put on hold for 10 minutes. I was then told that it would take 2 weeks at least for the Bronze Adventurers. I was then reminded that 4 locals of that rank had died last time. That was certainly true. We were going to have to wait for it. The Silver Adventurers were actually going to be at the branch much earlier. "It seems that all of the coven members have a big reputation. The slots requested for were filled immediately."
Clearly, the Adventurer's Guild members of Robal City remembered our coven. This was their chance to get revenge and knock us down a peg. I would not be surprised at all if they tried to kill us. There had to be clerics by now that knew we were fiends. That was a relatively simple spell. We were out on the streets and in the guild itself being loud and in the open. It probably would not take much for a wizard to banish us or radiant damage to be done by clerics or paladins. This was something that we needed to discuss. They had been training and copying spells, but I did not know if they were ready for combat with hostiles that wanted to kill them. Having them in that situation was going to be really tough. We had been spamming the lowest level missions possible. They would not be ready for combat. Luckily, we had a week to get all of them ready. Gathering them up, we took them to the temple. The monks got to teach them self defense. Some of them were confused that they needed this. "People will really be trying to hurt you. You have keep your human form and still win the fight." I said.
Questions flew at me from all sides. I was the leader of the coven and often kept things close to the vest. We were going into a very hostile environment. This was totally natural. I sighed and made sure to answer them all. It was Catnessa that asked why they were not going. "One, you are not members of the Adventurer's Guild. Two, you are not part of our coven. Three, your place is here at the temple. Bilios and Jason will determine when and where you go out." I told them. The monks of the temple did not like that. They wanted to leave the city and explore. That was not up to me. Kyleth asked if their mates could help. "No. Not for the fights. Those are 1 on 1. I think you can party up when we move to the Silver Adventurer confirmations. We might have to take them if we don't want to fight again." I said. They then asked me why. "We liked fighting last time. That got us a lot of hate from them. As soon as I got the missions to fight us on the board, they all filled up instantly. That means people last time were itching to fight. The only way that can be true is if they hated us. Hate breeds violence."
