As soon as the bathhouse opened, we were there. We had the orgy like we always did. Fulko and Bertie were a bit put off. They did not want to participate. Pentora was sitting next to him. He was doing as I asked by trying to befriend Bertie. It was clear that he wanted to join in the orgy though. I decided to give him a break. I went over to him and told him that I could switch places with him. He hurriedly accepted. I took his place and began to talk. They were members of the Adventurer's Guild too. Both of them were Coal Adventurers. They were going to be coming with us, but they were not going to have much to do. We would be the ones fighting. All that they would do was cheer us on and look competent. As much as they could at their level at least. They were both a bit nervous. Since they were spawned in, they did not have a very dynamic backstory. They were only children and had both parents living with them. They lived here all their lives. When they were children, they found out that they had an affinity for magic. Bertie's parents were both wizards. Fulko had a grandmother that was.
Clean and sparkly after the massive orgy, we went to the train station. This was a massive show of force and we were going to go there to win our new rank. Once we all got on the train, I made sure that they were sat in their seats for the whole ride. My squad were the enforcers for this. When the ride was over, we made our way to the building. There were 16 incubi, 2 elementals and 2 humans in our group. That was a total of 20 creatures. We filled the lobby on our own. The receptionist was more than a bit overwhelmed. That was okay. I made sure that everyone was well behaved. When we were all signed in, I was asked why we were there. I was the true leader of the coven. I told them that we would like to take the confirmation test. "Oh. There are 2 version of the test. One option is to take a mission in a far away area that needs a task done of the caliber of adventurer. The other is a duel between the candidate a member already in that rank." he explained. I knew this already. I asked if the duels were to the death. He blanched and said "No! Well... not really. Either can give up any time."
That response told me all that I needed to know. Anyone could quit whenever they wanted to here. Would your opponent simply let you back out!? Would they even give a chance to give in before beheading you!? That was a whole different story. There was not a "no killing" rule for these duels. If you died, you died. Just like on a mission in the field. I was pretty confident in our abilities. I was certain about mine. Unless there was a decently ranked cleric here, we would win. "Yes. All Copper Adventurers would like to take the dueling option." I told the receptionist. He nodded and began typing on his computer. The guild had an underground arena. "Since it is an open challenge for Bronze Adventurers, we will see who will be able to take this up. Since there are 16 of you, it might take a while to gather 16 Bronze Adventurers to assess all of you." he told us. We were going to be here in Robal City for a while. Now I really hoped that the members of the temple would be safe. I was not going to be there to protect them. There was nothing that I could do about it now. I gave them their warnings.
