Arriving totally unannounced, I made my way down to the cells. Gale was sitting there on his knees. He still looked at me with hatred. When they saw me, they told me that his body was now constantly leaking energy. Much easier to collect. He looked on either side of the hall from me. "Where is my comrade?" he asked. I just looked at him. He had some nerve. "You have no comrades, Gale. You personally abandoned them to get your revenge on me, remember?" He winced at the given name before narrowing his eyes at me. "Where is the slave that was at your side your last visit!?" he demanded. I smirked. "Oh, him. You really want to know? Beg me for it." I said. I wondered if he would. He glared with even more hatred than before. "Tell me... please." he said. I looked at him. He had already been on his knees. I rolled my eyes. It was good enough. I kind of wanted to gloat for a bit. "Fine. He was impregnated by one of my incubi and a human. Their semen combined with his air energy to create a pair of offspring." The news shocked every one. "I freed him. He lives as Zephyr Freewind."
Gale refused to believe me. "There is no way a warrior would allow themselves to become the breeding mare of fiends and dirty humans!" he shouted. I looked at him with a smile. "C'mon Gale! You know that you warriors are potent sources of elemental air energy. Incubi have potent sexual energy. Humans can do practically anything with enough skill or miracles. Adding all 3 together to make some offspring isn't that hard to imagine." "Where are these hybrids. This will be a marvel to study." one of the humans said. I laughed. "There were 2 identical twins. Zephyr took one with him. They are far away by now. The other is with his former masters. Ororin will kill all of us if she finds out that she has been cheated out of a slave and a pawn. Especially if you suggest that you guys want to experiment on that boy. It is important that this secret never gets out of this lab. We will all die here if it falls into the wrong hands." I told them firmly. That intimidated them all into compliance. Gale asked "Then what is to happen to the offspring!?" "Whatever Ororin or Zephyr wants to happen to them." I said.
Watching him squirm as he was drained was a little funny. Something in his body must have broke if he could no longer stop himself from leaking energy. That was not a concern of mine. It was for the researchers to deal with. If Gale died, that was it. Letting them know that was something that I felt had to be said. Since I had brought a pliant Zephyr down here, some were under the false impression that Gale was actually replaceable. Forcing oxygen masks on him kept him alive long enough for him to get to the next day. That had just been a stopgap measure. Now, they would have to try and figure out something for Gale. Something that would allow their feisty, brash specimen to last long term. Gale was a warrior. He would never give up. He honestly still believed there would be a day where someone would rescue him. Whatever he had to tell himself in order to make it through. I was not that cruel. Maybe Zephyr would mount a rescue. Or send in more warriors from his home to get Gale out of there before more crucial secrets could be learned by us. Or more half breeds are created here.
