"Compare notes?" He suggested. "I mean...at least we can try to figure out what our lives are like right now." She nodded, and they headed into the living room. "Tell me about my family," Jon suggested.

"Your dad died..." Karyn said.

Jon sighed. "Yeah..." So, that was the same...he wondered if a wish could change that...but the idea of bringing his father back to life was terrifying...not that the current situation wasn't.

"Your mom works at MTI," Karyn said. MTI was McMillan Technologies...Sarah's father ran it.

"What? My mom...before this...works at a law firm."

"Linda...is supposed to be a lawyer?" Karyn asked.

"No...she's a legal assistant." She had told him she had considered going to law school though. "What does Zoe do for MTI?"

"Something about managing their research teams...I...never really asked her much about it, sorry."

Jon raised a brow. He couldn't believe anyone would put Zoe in charge of anything...much less research. On the other hand, Zoe cut class half the time, but yet didn't fail any of her classes...despite not getting the best grades. "And my mom...umm...Linda?"

"She's on the JV track team...a bit of a brat sometimes...But you two get along pretty well..."

"What about Mikey? He's...younger somehow..."

"Your mom has a different career...maybe she just...decided to have a third kid at a different time..." Karyn said.

"Maybe...but how am I going to fix this?"

"Hopefully the same way we fix my life...at least your number is still in my phone..."

"And Zoe didn't think it was strange me coming over here..so..."

"That's fine for now, but tomorrow...I'm going to have to go to school and pretend nothing is wrong..."

"Same with me at home," Jon agreed.
