Riding their train was really nice. It took about 2 hours in-game to get to Robal City. There were several stops along the way. The incubi had never been on their national line before. Xavier had been on public transport in the city, but he had never left before. I did not know if that was a good idea. His mother let him go because he was of age and being an adventurer meant going on long journeys without parental supervision. Obviously, he was loved and cared about. She was on his contact list. If there was a problem, he could call her for help or advice. She could also call him to see if he needed something from her. To be honest, we were there and would all be looking out for him. It would not do if he was mugged or killed while in our care. He seemed to be a really endearing guy. Marantyz seemed to like him a whole lot. There was a whole lot of people on the train ride. The incubi were interested in interacting with them all and pushing as much as they could. If they could get away with it, they would absolutely try to fuck someone on their ride. The police were here, so we really could not do it.

Once it was over, we had to disembark from the train. All of us were now in a new city. I looked at Xavier. "Okay. How do we get to the hotel!?" I asked him. He took out a map and he looked really deeply at it. From his interpretation of the map, we got there in an hour. I was sure that we got turned around once or twice. That was fine. We had lots of time. Checking in was fine as he had reserved in advance. We just needed to show all the receipts. From there, we were free to do as we pleased. I pat the human on the shoulder. Xavier looked at me and asked what I wanted. He was still a bit wary of me. I was a really powerful fiend. "Is there something that you would like to do?" I asked. He looked at the map. "My family are really devout. It is tradition to make a pilgrimage to a shrine to Boccob, God of Magic. Once there, I will spend the day praying and exploring their grounds." he said. That sounded pretty cool. Maybe we incubi could go on a pilgrimage of our own. Looking at my own maps, there were quite a few temples and shrines here. We were fiends, so all their good aligned gods were out.

Finding a neutral god was preferable. I did not want to be forced to do something crazy. At least with a neutral god or goddess, I could try steering the incubi into helping others. We had arrived in the late afternoon, so we had time to go to a local museum. It was pretty cool. The art was interesting and there was lots of flavor text that hinted at in depth lore if I wanted to read and study everything. That was not what I wanted to do. After that, it was time for Xavier to eat. We did not have to eat. None of us had to sleep thanks to his new Eldritch Invocation. That meant we could talk about what we saw throughout the night. In the morning, he was off to go pray for a successful application process. We were heading around other temples and shrines. We stopped by several: Hextor, God of War and Discord; Celestian, God of Stars and Wanderers and Olidammara, God of Revelry. A plethora of pantheons were represented here. There were even ones that were particular to this world. One of them was Bilios, God of Fertility. He had a shrine. Shrines were simple altars with a big holy symbol.

The shrines were monitored and taken care of by the faithful. Maintenance and ceremonial rites were done by clergy that traveled there for a set purpose. Temples were buildings that housed the altar with permanent clergy stationed there to receive sacrifices and perform rites for the faithful. We happened to get there while 2 young men were sweeping the area around the shrine with brooms. I approached and asked them what they what the shrine was about. It was not really about anything. Faithful with the money to sponsor the shine simply had it built here. Asking them about Bilios, they told me. They were acolytes. Bilios was a truly Neutral god. He saw fit to ensure that men were able to properly love their wives and provide them with healthy children to love. The men would then have heirs to continue their family line. Thus, a society of the faithful could continue. Bilios was not just a God of Fertility, but a God of Paternity as well. Fatherhood was important to the faithful. Bilios actually had a twin, Etuna. She was a fertility goddess with a focus on maternity. Her shrines were elsewhere.
