Meanwhile, Simon had walked over to Laura, who was sitting with Lucy McMillan. "I need to talk to you..." He said to Laura.
"Of course," Laura said. "You remember Lucy McMillan?"
"Yeah," Simon said. "Nice to see you again. You got...tall."
Lucy laughed at that. "Well, you look lovely."
"I'm not used to people saying that," Simon said. And to be honest, Laura and Lucy looking at him and saying it made him feel a bit uncomfortable.
"Well, if you didn't want people to comment, why buy new clothes?" Laura said. "I mean, yesterday, you were wearing sweatpants."
"Because the sweatpants weren't mine," Simon said. "Mikey and I just wanted something that wasn't...a hand me down."
Laura nodded indulgently. "Well, now that you are here," she said, changing the subject. "Why don't you get to know everyone?"
"Biff and his new friend are right over there," Lucy gestured.
Simon glanced toward where Biff and Ethan were gossiping. It didn't seem like he'd enjoy that much. He'd much rather hang out with Zoe. "I just wanted to talk about what's happening to...us." He said, looking at Laura.
"Well...there will be plenty of time for that after we leave," Laura said.
"But..." Simon said.
"Is there something that can't wait?" Lucy asked, curiously.
"Not exactly," he replied.
"So...have some fun. I'm sure there's still some food left," Laura suggested.
"We'll talk after?"
"Sure."
