Jon sat in his second class of the day wondering what he would do when he met up with Tina who was now his best friend in place of Karyn. Would he tell her what had happened or should he just act as if nothing had changed and she was his best friend? Sure he got well with Tina but she was not Karyn no matter how much she may look like the old Karyn.
“Mr Madison” his teacher shouted at him again. “Sorry, sir I was concentrating on the problem you had set.” Came his quick reply. “Well, you don’t need to worry about it for the moment. You are wanted in the office. Mr Jones told him. What have you done now?” “Nothing sir honestly,” Jon answered As he rose out of his seat and followed the school secretary who he had not noticed had entered the classroom to fetch him.
As Jon walked down the corridor behind the secretary towards the school office after leaving his maths class, he wondered why he had been called to the office. He could not figure out what was wrong. Did it have something to do with the blue-clad men no it couldn’t. They only seemed to come out at a certain time of the night and it was nowhere near that. So it couldn’t be them.
“Wait there,” the school secretary told him when they reached their destination. “ Dr. Schreber will see you in a minute.” She said to him as she turned back to her work. Ms Smith looked like she did not like being sent to fetch a student no matter who told her to do so, especially this new assistant principal Dr. Daniel P. Schreber. He may have a doctorate behind him but she had been there longer than he had. She didn’t know how wrong she was just a few days ago she had been a up and coming member of the local police force. No Danelle Jones did not like this new guy one little bit.
The door to Jon’s right opened and out came a man with floppy blonde hair parted in the middle wearing a small round pair of glasses who turned towards Jon. “Ah, Mr Madison a pleasure to meet you at last. I believe we have some friends in common.” This strange man said as he gestured towards the door that he just come out of. Jon rose and started towards the room. Jon did not recognise this man at all but then again he did not get into trouble that often he bearly visited the school office so he thought nothing of it. As the door closed behind him.
Dr. Schreber nodded toward the chair in front of Jon as they walked inside. He closed the door and took his seat in the chair opposite Jon.
“Now Jon let's get down to business before I am missed.” Dr. Schreber Said to him looking nervously around. “Missed Sir?” Jon asked “Yes I don’t know how you have been able to resist my employer's control over things but you have. I have been looking for someone like you for a long time to help me fight them.” Dr. Schreber told Jon as he once again looked around as if he was looking for someone. “I don’t know what you mean sir,” Jon replied. “Oh, really Jon. You don’t know anything about the men dressed in blue who drive around your town at 4 am every night?” Dr. Schreber
Jon sat at the opposite side of the desk from this man as he had since he had sat down only now his mouth was now hanging wide open.
