She thought back to every sci-fi time travel movie she had seen. If Jon changed one event in the past, if the present didn't change immediately, it meant that it would take time for the past to catch up to the present. "I wish," she said, "that I would be aware if something changes in the present because of what Jon did." The stone granted that one too. "At least I won't forget what I'm trying to do."
In 1986, Jon suddenly blinked. He suddenly knew...Karyn was trying to rescue him...He just had to sit tight and not step on any bugs. "Maybe we should get to class?"
Class turned out to be boring, but something he could handle. Clearly, some of the way things were taught had changed since the 80s...but math and history were math and history. He was starting to think he could pull off being Jenny. At least until he could figure out how to get home. His next class, according to the schedule in his binder, was gym. How do I act natural in a girl's locker room? People are going to think Jenny is a lesbian...and I bet that isn't easy in the 80s...
Which is how Jon found himself, surrounded by girls and wishing he'd paid more attention when watching 80s movies. Otherwise, it seemed pretty similar to his own locker room experiences. People changing, talking as they did, and then heading up to the gym. He wondered what Moonlighting was...he'd never heard of it...but apparently Bruce Willis was in it. Was he an action star yet? He wasn't sure. He was in position in the gym before realizing he hadn't thought a bit about being around naked girls.
