Bella and Bianca were feeling like the boys were getting more and more distant from them as time went on. Bianca reached out to me and asked what they should do. It was fine she was asking. It told me she wanted to be in their lives. I told them both an obvious truth. Those are usually the hardest to hear though. "You both just need to accept Marco and Rocco for who they are now. Rocco is at least bisexual. He's going to have some girlfriends down the line. Maybe even some kids in the future." From there, they decided to have a meal together. They had apparently been eating apart when I was not there to force them together at a table. I was going to be there to keep the peace. Carlo and Rocco were reluctant, but I told them to be there. "I want to eat with you guys." I said in out group chat. They were allowed to bring a guest to dine with us, but neither Rocco nor Carlo were seeing anyone. Marco was bringing Tassos to dinner to show him the family as his official boyfriend. Bianca was very hesitant about this. "He's trying to open up to you. All you have to do is love Marco." I texted.
She said she did. I believed her "All you have to do is focus on Marco. You love him, no matter what. That's all that he needs to see from you." I said. It was soon time for the dinner. I was coming from work, so I was not there at the start. Carlo, Marco and Rocco were all there. The 3 were waiting for the food to be ready. Marco was on the phone texting Tassos. I stood behind him and rubbed his shoulders. He looked up at me with a questioning look on his face. I smiled at him. He smiled back nervously. It was not like him. "Are you ready Marco? Bella and Bianca are trying to get to know the real you. Please be understanding of that." I said. He looked off to the side. "So that's what all this is. I was wondering why everyone was trying to pretend to be a happy family again." he said. "If things all go well tonight, none of you have to pretend anymore." "I want mom and auntie back. This has to work out." Rocco said out loud from where he was sitting. "They never left Rocco. They just didn't know how to raise you. You are different from what they were expecting, but they never stopped loving you all."
There was a knocking at the door. Marco rushed over. He let his boyfriend in. I waited for them to return. Holding out my hand, I said "My name is Martino Nesta. It's so nice to officially meet the boy my son has been going crazy about." Both of them were stunned and then elated. Tassos gave be a firm handshake and looked me in the eye. "It's nice to meet you to, Mr. Nesta. My name is Tassos Andrakos. I am Marco's boyfriend." I pat him on the back. Marco hugged me really tightly. After 12 minutes of waiting, Bianca came to get us. She nervously said "Dinner is ready. We made all of your favorite foods, so we hope you like it." Her voice was quiet. I went to her and said "Bianca, come here. Meet Tassos. He is our guest for today." Guiding her was a bit forced but she got the hint. Marco and the others were watching this with keen eyes. It mattered. "H-hello Tassos. I hope you like the food." Tassos smiled softly and said "I'm sure that I will." "Go ahead. I need to talk to Bianca for a minute." I said to the others. They nodded and went ahead. Bianca let out a massive sigh. "Keep it up." I said.
