"What do you mean, you dropped the rock?" Karyn said. "You dropped a powerful magical object capable of changing our reality? How do you know someone hasn't turned us into something without us even knowing it?"
Jon rubbed his head. "We should look for it. I should have wished I couldn't lose it."
"That might have been a good idea," Karyn said. "Honestly Jon, I don't know how you can be..."

Jen blinked and frowned. She had this creepy feeling all of the sudden. As if something had happened. But everything seemed the same.
She looked at Kevin. He'd trailed off, as if he'd sensed something too. But he looked exactly the same as he always did. Dark hair, wearing a pair of ratty pants and a sweatjacket.
"Did something just happen?" Kevin asked her.
Jen fretted. "It feels like it...but what? You look the same...do I?"
Kevin looked at her. "Yeah...same as always. Why?"
"We'd better find the stone," Jen remarked.
