He stumbled out of his room toward the bathroom and suddenly froze. There were workmen dressed in coveralls in his house. They didn't seem to notice him...but they marched into his room. They assembled cardboard boxes, barcoded each item they removed, and then bubble wrapped it, boxed it, and moved on. Each time he tried to stop them, they moved him aside as if he was inconsequential.
With the sheer number of them, it didn't take very long. But...strangely, the clocks didn't advance...frozen at 4AM. And none of the electronics worked at all...everything seemed frozen. Before long, his room was completely empty. Two of the workmen grabbed him, removing his clothes, even down to his underwear, and storing those in a box as well. They then placed a medical bracelet with a barcode on his wrist, and...bubble wrapped him as well, not his head, but the rest of his body, and leaned him in the corner while they continued to work.
They ripped up his carpet, and painted the walls of his bedroom, then installed new flooring. They started to bring in new boxes and unwrap the contents, as if they were moving men, setting up items. He didn't get to see the full extent, because two of them carried him out and loaded him into an unmarked moving van.
