Jon turned and started to run from the girls' locker room, tears starting to come from his eyes. His one desperate chance to grab the stone had been ruined when Ethel-justifiably afraid of what might happen-told Sarah about it. She had begged Sarah to go easy on him-which, Jon guessed she had-for Sarah. She had just made him even shorter and fatter than he already had been-and promised to keep going with that if he ever crossed her again. Sarah's "reward" to the former Karyn was to make her love her new life as Ethel, the fattest, sweatiest girl in school. Worse, she then made Jon have the hots for Karyn's/Ethel's new body, even though he hated the changes Sarah had made to both of them. He just wanted to go home and cry.
But before he could get out of the locker, he felt Ethel's heavy arm come down across his shoulders, halting him in his tracks. Ethel was really slow moving, but Jon's short legs and own hefty girth meant he wasn't very fast either. She spun him around to face her-he couldn't resist-thanks to Sarah, Jon was the puniest kid in school.
Ethel had kind of a sad smile on her face. She brushed tears from Jon's eyes and then leaned down (she was now three and a half inches taller) and leaned down and kissed him. "Shhh...It's okay, Jon. See-Sarah went easy on you-she just made you a little shorter and...and cuddlier. You look...cute. And she fixed it so we're really boyfriend and girlfriend now-isn't that really wonderful?" Ethel was almost beaming at the last statement. She pulled Jon closer to her vast body.
Sarah was still standing in the background. "Whew, I think I'm gonna throw up. Get a room, you two." Sarah turned and walked to the door, then glanced back over her shoulder. "Tell you what, I'm feeling really generous today-I think I'll wish that...
