Nothing mattered to me besides Daphne. I would have to kill all of these apparently unaligned thugs first. That was more than fine with me. I made short work of them. A high leveled Player like me was like moving Death to the thugs. When all of the treats were cleared, I called out for Daphne. She was behind the counter. I went directly to her and picked her up off of the floor. "Let's get you home, Daphne." I said in her ear. She nodded her head and let me guide her. She was really shaken up. I took her to the door and kissed her goodnight. "Thank you so much, Martino. I know I can always count on you. You... you make me feel so safe. I love you." she said. I smiled and said "I'll come by tomorrow. See you then." That was it. She was mine now. Not only did I complete her side mission, I went on 5 dates with her. There was no way she could reject me if I proposed to her. When the shops opened up in the morning, I bought her a ring. It was time for it. Now that I was a lieutenant, it was time to start a dynasty. That meant starting a family and settling down. Daphne was not my ethnicity though.
Some people would be upset with having to accept half-blooded children into the fold. That did not matter to me though. I had a lady that loved me for me. I asked for her hand in marriage in front of her family. None of them had a single objection. I did save her life the night before. I knew that she told them what had happened. Her father gave me praise for saving his daughter. Tommy, Nicolò, Bernardo, Ronan, Cameron and Araldo were all happy for me. So were the twins. Asella was really getting even further along with her pregnancy. We had to go through with the motions this time. Unlike with Asella and Tommy, Daphne's parents were both here and they would want to see a full wedding ceremony take place in town. That would take some time. 6 in-game weeks to be exact. Daphne and her family wanted to invite all of their distant relatives. I wanted my own guests too. Emillio, Miracle and Brandon had to come. The twins, the whores, Nicolò, Araldo, Bernardo, Tommy, Ronan and Cameron were all obviously coming in. I invited Ezio and Nicola as well. This would be good for the mafia family.
As part of their preparations, we had to do marriage counseling with the priest on Tuesdays and go to church together on Sundays. That was fine. I just had to schedule around it. For the ceremony, I was the one paying money for the catering, the dress, the suit, the reception hall and our house. The venue was the church, so I did not have to do much. They did want me to pitch in for the organ player and choir. If it was my wedding, I wanted to go big or go home. Daphne agreed with me. Construction on the house was almost compete halfway during the preparations. We would be able to move in when we got married. I was still in the hotel. Daphne was still with her parents. Asella had her baby and we all dropped everything. Luckily the baby boy was not born retarded. Due to the fact they were twins, it looked very much like Asella and not at all like Tommy. He had blond hair and blue eyes. I was quick to chalk it all up to our ethnicity's very strong bloodlines. Tommy and Arminio were quick to back me up on that. Nicolò, Araldo and Bernardo bought it immediately. We never told them about it.
