Because time was running out, Oliver sighed deeply. "We should just settle this fairly. Whoever emits the most White Pulse should be the top." he proposed. Sei nodded his head in agreement. He was smirking however. It was clear that he felt he had this won already. Oliver sucked his teeth. He hated being belittled. Both recruits closed their eyes. To keep up with the analogue of doggystyle, the pilots were told to focus on the groin. Oliver had the privilege of having his father and grandfather to guide him. He had been doing the image training since he was 10 years old. Oliver's pilot suit melted away to reveal a rod of white light where his penis would be. It was 20 cm long. That was really impressive. When the pilot released White Pulse, it was said that every 4 notches of the meter gave a single cm. Having a White Pulse of 80 in their first try was very good. Sei was not as adept as his squadmate. His pilot suit tented as the pulse was generated. He had In order to pilot, the average of the pulses had to be over 50. Sei's level was not enough to leave their suit. It looked like he had an erection.

Now that it had come to this, it was clear that Oliver had won the contest. "I have the better Pulse. Let me be the Top." Oliver said smugly. Sei winced and said "W-wait a minute, Oliver-kun! I...I just need some more time to get my White Pulse up." He was stalling for time. Oliver rolled his eyes. "No. We don't have time. You should just focus on the Black Pulse." Both pilots could potentially get up to 100 in either pulse. To reach the pulse average of 51, they had to add to at least 102. With Oliver's very mighty White Pulse holding steady at 80, they just needed a Black Pulse of 22. Sei looked disappointed as he sighed in defeat. He deflated a bit. "Fine. I have to get this to go down first." A pilot could only fire one Pulse at a time. He was having trouble to get the erection down. Oliver shoved him on the bed in annoyance after a minute had passed. Time was running out. Sei was still emitting a weak White Pulse. "Hurry up already!" Oliver demanded. Sei looked upset as well. "I-I'm trying! It just won't go down." By the time Sei was able to get into the Bottom position, all of their time had elapsed.

As a result, their first synchronization attempt was recorded as a failure. Oliver was pissed off when they left the cockpit. This was not the way to get noticed by the top brass as a good Top Glowie. They would all have their next session in the mock cockpit in 2 days. The were at the end of the boot camp. Tuesdays and Thursdays were the days they had the assessments. That meant they had 5 weeks to get to 5 successful synchronizations. It was not like they were the only ones to fail on the first session. The team of Nao and Kuzumi also did not get an average of 50. Nao knew that he should be a Bottom. He actually had a decent Black Pulse of 47. Kazumi only made it to 38 with his White Pulse. Their efforts only averaged to 43. Not good enough to pilot the Shine. Kyo and Rinto were friends from the same neighborhood. They trusted each other and helped each other reach the goal. Both of them made it to 53. Rinto was Top and Kyo was Bottom. They had planned to switch roles on Thursday for the test. If it worked, they could both be Switch Glowies. If it failed, they each would be 1-1.
