The darkness that surrounded me at the character selection screen quickly faded to a scene of a small room. I sighed, realizing that my biggest worry about the random button proved true. Instead of giving me a random character to alter to my liking, the game opted to stick me with a random character without the option to change anything.
I was pulled from my thoughts when I noticed some hair that was barely in my line of sight. I reached up to grab a strand to get a better look, but stopped when I actually saw my hand. It looked slim and...feminine.
Oh no... I thought. Admittedly, the odds were 50/50 for something like this to happen, but it was still weird to think about. I decided to just bite the bullet and look down to affirm my fears, and when I did, I noticed a few things immediately.
The first on my list were the two breasts on my chest. While they weren't large, they did prove my theory correct, my avatar was definitely female. And, though I would have thought just a day before that suddenly being female would be the most jarring thing I could experience, I was more caught off guard by my second discovery. Namely, my characters clothes...
"If you can call them that." I said, trying to ignore the feminine voice that escaped my lips. All that covered my upper half was what looked like a leather bra, and I was wearing a short leather skirt and some leather boots. "Unbelieveable. This outfit is freaking ridiculous. As if it weren't bad enough to have to meet Suzie as a girl, but wearing this crap?!"
Then I thought about that for a moment. It was definitely going to be weird meeting Suzie like this. "Oh well..." I said. "Guess I'll consider this a throw away character and I'll try again next time I log in." I sighed a bit at that. "And I'll avoid the random button."
I then glanced around the room I started in. There wasn't much to it. The walls were made of stone, as was the floor. There was also no carpet. The only furnishings were a chair, a table, and a mirror.
I looked at the mirror from where I stood for a moment before deciding to get it over with and just get a look at my (temporary) avatar.
The girl who greeted me in the mirror was pretty atractive. Not exactly a knockout, but definitely cute. She seemed quite a bit shorter than my normal self. Maybe 5'5", if not an inch or two shorter. Her black hair stopped just above her shoulders. It took me a moment after my initial look over to realize that this girl in the mirror was, more or less, me. When I went back to my inspection, I found one thing that I hadn't noticed before. My characters iris' were blood red.
I began moving closer to the mirror, trying to get a better look, when I felt something brush against the back of my leg. I looked back and almost fainted at what I saw.
A tail was sweeping back and forth behind me. The stereoptypical demon tail, that ends with a spade shape. I turned myself around and looked into the mirror over my shoulder to get a better look, and was met with yet another little discovery. Protruding from my back were two small, bat-like wings.
"What the hell am I?" I asked. I then remembered everything I learned when researching this game. "Um...stats." I said. In front of me appeared a small screen that displayed all of the information about my character.

RACE: Succubus (Demon)
CLASS: Low-class Succubus
SPECIALITIES: Flirtation.
ITEMS: Basic Succubus Clothing, 20 Gold.
I sighed. "Great, I'm a succubus." I didn't know all that much about their abilities, aside from the fact that they were capable of using seduction to confuse enemies. "Someone out there is laughing at me right now."
I looked over at the only door that connected this room to...somewhere. I sighed. "Guess my first goal should be to meet Suzie. I can try to get some new clothes later." With that, I walked over to the door and twisted the knob, opening the door.
