I raised my eyebrow at that. Devon did not look pleased at them either. We were in the Main Hall and I was walking towards the hallway towards the interior elevator. We had to go down to the PEA Lab. "Why the hell can't I!? If we both want it, there's no problems with it happening." 03 looked surprised and then confused. "It doesn't ever matter to us whether they want to mate with you or not. Conquerors take what they want from others anyway. We want to know why you would want to mate with a PEA unit when you have AEP units all around you." he said. I just smirked. "Devon here is much better than any Conqueror AEP unit to me. Being his partner is way more valuable to me." I told them. That made them both shocked. "That is impossible! AEP units are a further evolution from PEA units. You cannot be serious that mating with us is less pleasurable than a PEA unit." 01 protested. He was not the only one angry. 03 looked really furious. "You obviously can't tell quality with all your defunct human nerves. I bet you last longer with them because they aren't as tight and cannot do what we can."
Personally, I knew they were just jealous. Devon did not get it at all. "You have to be kidding, Brianne. I am really good at honey pots, but I can't possibly compete with all the AEP units." he said nervously. "See!? Even he can admit the truth." 01 snapped. I smirked as I stepped behind Devon. I rubbed his toned tummy with my hands. "He is carrying my children inside of him." 01 and 03 could not hide their disgust at the news even if it killed them. It would actually be pretty funny if it was not a reaction to all my hybrid children. That was fine with me however. They were just lower on my list of priorities than Devon now. For his part, Devon really did not seem to be put on the spot like this. His programming made him think that all AEP units were superior and should be cherished. Being placed on a pedestal above 2 of them felt both wrong and awkward. That was no matter to me. It was how I really felt about this. I was human. Not a cyborg. I was also a Player. Not an NPC. None of their values mattered to me at all. As we entered the PEA Lab, Brett was talking to a female unit. "No way. No." she said.
Questioning this directly would not work. He would just try to weasel out of it. I resigned myself to stand there and listen in. "C'mon. It's just a single hit. I am begging you here." The female PEA unit crossed her arms. "The fact a human was able to track you down and demand financial support to raise your offspring is embarrassing. Just confront her and take the child. This clan building has plenty of experience with all of Brianne's hybrids. Even we take time to interact with them when they wander down here unsupervised." she said. That was indeed true. "Yeah. But the truth is she is a syndicate enforcer and pretty tough. I don't want to deal with her now. Don't you want to be part of the clan? Brianne's super routine would have you creating gold memory nanites in less than a month!" That made her pause. "I have seen them run through the ranks before making lots of memory chips..." she trailed off. I had seen more than enough. "C'mon Brett. You literally could solve this with a snap of your fingers. What is the problem?" I asked. He turned and grimaced. "She's dead ugly. My drunken mistake."
