”It wouldn’t be right...” Jo told herself as the warm water bounced off her back. ”I just have to accept that she’s gone...” Jo raised her slumped head up and let the warm shower water wash the tears from her cheeks. ”The Piper that I loved... The Piper of my memories... She’s gone... She doesn’t exist anymore... She’s just a memory in my head...” Jo felt another flood of emotions wash over her and her head slumped back down. ”FUCK YOU SARAH!” Jo yelled in her head. As her eyes began to well up with tears, Jo opened her eyes and looked down at the tile floor below her. She knew she couldn’t give up now, and step one was getting back to her feet. ”Come on Jo. You can’t let that bitch win.” Jo placed both hands on the tile floor, took a deep breath, and pushed herself up onto her feet. A shooting pain emanating from her knees caused Jo to grimace and look down at her beat red knees. “Fuck.” Jo said under her breath as she rubbed her knees that were sore from the tile floor.
Straightening back up, Jo tilted her head up and let the warm water rush across her chest. ”I just have to let the thought of Piper go...” Jo told herself as a vision of her former girlfriend’s smiling face appeared in her mind. ”It wouldn’t be right to use the stone on her to make her love me... The Piper that exists today isn’t the Piper of my memories...” Jo winced as she felt another tornado of emotion bearing down on her battered psyche. ”Hold it together Jo...” She told herself as she held back more tears. Taking a couple deep breaths Jo felt the approaching emotional storm subside. ”I love you Piper.” Jo whispered to herself as the vision of her former lover began to fade to black in her mind. In an attempt to shut the door on the heartache she had endured for the last hour, Jo opened her eyes and stared blankly at the shower wall.
”I gotta wrap it up.” Jo told herself as she reached through the shower curtain and grabbed the bottles of shampoo and soap that she had stole earlier. ”I need to finish this shower and get the hell out of here before anything else happens.” Jo let out an exhausted sigh and began to wash her now pruney body. Having spent almost an hour on the shower floor mourning the loss of Piper, Jo’s finger were waterlogged and wrinkled. ”I can’t let that bitch win...” Jo told herself as she paused and stared at her wrinkled fingers. Though she was emotionally shattered by the loss of Piper, the burning desire to prevent Sarah from succeeding in her theft of the stone was keeping Jo from giving up. ”Finish the shower Jo.” She told herself as she started rinsing the soap off her body.
With the shampoo rinsed from her hair and the soap rinsed from her body Jo let out another sigh as she continued to stand in the shower staring blankly at the wall. ”No more crying about Piper and no getting attached to Riley... Just focus on getting your stone back... That’s the only thing that can fix this mess.” Jo told herself as she blew her nose into her hands, and then quickly rinsed them off. Jo took another deep breath and turned off the shower. Reaching through the curtain Jo grabbed her towel and began drying off her toned muscular body.
