"I don't need help..." Mollie insisted, sounding rather American still. He turned around, towering over Robert by at least half a foot. "What is with you?"
Robert paused, looking up at the strong and powerful looking Mollie. "There is nothing wrong with me," he insisted, his voice going up an octave.
Mollie grabbed him gently by the shoulders. "Just...calm down."
"You do not tell ME to calm down," Robert said shrilly. "You, who have been putting things out of place, and eating more than everyone else...I run this house...you...you...oaf."
"I think Mrs. McMillan would have something to say about that," Mollie said. "But...why don't you take a break...you are acting pretty wound up..." Mollie seemed a lot more calm than Robert, who seemed oddly upset about a refrigerator raid.
"I cannot, while there is work to do..."
"I"ll help...if you let me. I mean...have you relaxed at all since the start of all this?"
Robert paused. "No..." he admitted. "But...everyone has been..." He paused, trying to think of the word. Lucy had given him a cold shoulder and the rest had barely spoken to him at all.
"Sorry," Mollie said. "But...the Gibsons won't be here all night..take fifteen minutes for yourself...things won't go to hell in fifteen minutes."
Robert nodded. There was something different about Mollie lately...but she was very sweet regardless. He felt bad about what he'd been thinking about her since their...time together had been found out. Robert gently headed out of the kitchen.
Mollie sighed. Everyone was acting so weird around here...it couldn't just be recent events...
She heard the doorbell ring, and ran to get it before Robert could change his mind about relaxing.
