That was just the Quality. They had also bumped up the Security to 5 stars as well. There were 4 guards that roamed the halls and 4 outside the premises. Each of them had Tommy guns. Araldo and Bernardo were 2 of those guards. That was not so good. They were in a totally separate district than all the whores were. Our deal with the police chief did not apply to them. Adding 8 new stars into the hotel's stats really tanked their Secrecy. It was now down to just 1 star. In order to get it up, I had to offer the chief of police double to cover Payday district. I told them that The Rosy Face Inn was way too hot to improve anymore. There was still a ton of money left. They all went and bought another racket to turn into a big hotel. This one was called "The Yellow Diamond". I really liked the name. They still had $15,000 to play with now. They made this hotel more balanced. Setting everything to 2 stars cleaned them out. It also brought the Secrecy down to 4 stars. The bribe kept it from going down to 3 stars. I warned them not to go all in when they got their next paycheck. It was getting pretty expensive.
Now that we had 5 rackets, this was a big deal. In order to meet the demand for cash flow, I ended up taking jobs in the town. As a mob doctor, I was the perfect person to call when the mine or the Red Rays had someone that needed immediate care. Care with no questions asked as well. At the end of the fourth month, I had just save a miner that had been crushed by a boulder. I still had to go with Nicolò, Araldo and Bernardo to the city with the gold shipment. We drove on the roads for 2 days before we were ambushed again. We got out of it and continued our journey. The final destination was Ezio's speakeasy. Once we got it there, we got the money. Then we had to go back. No ambushes happened here. It was a massive relief. Based on my 2 previous patterns, it was time to give all of the money to Bernardo. He was very happy about it. I needed a break after all of that driving. I did not need to sleep as a Player. That meant that I did not stop to sleep. That was why I made sure that the truck with the shipment had a back up driver. I was not going to bore myself waiting on them. We moved.
Due to this, I needed to go let loose for a bit. I decided to go to a speakeasy. Because of the non aggression pacts we had, I could go to any of the ones in the town. The guys all went off to the hotels. Whether it was owned by the Red Rays or not, I was able to enter and relax. It just so happened that the first one I found was owned by the Glimmering Lions. Since they owned it, I was fine. I went to a table by the singer. She had a nice voice as she sang along to a vinyl record of some jazz music. I had a good time listening to her. After the third song, she took a break. I wandered to the bar and asked the bartender what the name of the club was. His eyes widened. It made me lean back. "How the fuck did you get in then!?" he asked. I just looked at him. "My name is Martino Nesta. I get around." was all I said. It was all that I needed to say. That made him look down nervously. He was now scared of me. "M-Mr. Nesta!? I...I am so-sorry sir!" I smiled and said "Keep it easy. Give me a slice of cake and let us call it even. I just want to relax." He hurried to get me a slice of cheesecake. I ate it there.
