When Zoe and Simon returned to where they left Athena and Mikey, they weren't there.
Zoe got out her phone and text Athena. =Where are you?=
=Hanging with Mikey for a bit...he needs it. Will meet you later?=
Zoe frowned. "That's weird...why would Athena want to hang out with Mikey?"
"There's nothing wrong with him..."
"He's been acting like a real brat...I mean..." Zoe paused, suddenly realizing something. "I just realized I've been on the other side of this conversation."
"Weird, huh?" Simon said. "But...if Athena is trying to help Mikey...we can go head to the McMillans, right?"
"I guess..."
"You aren't...jealous, are you? I mean..if Athena is your girlfriend...you shouldn't be jealous of Mikey...he's like her hanging out with another girl..."
"I'm NOT jealous..." Zoe said. "Let's get out of here then..."
Truth was, Zoe was jealous a bit...not romantically, but she and Athena had been best friends before all this. She wondered if Mikey was talking her place in that. On the other hand, Jon and Athena had barely spoken...and she and Athena were still close...Athena was probably just trying to help. Hopefully...
"I'll get us a ride," Simon said, getting out his phone.
