As they were the last ones to arrive, the Heat Clan finally let us have full a tour of the facilities. There were the storage bays on the east wall. We came in from the south of the hangar. Towards the north, there was a very long path for them to go towards the launch pad. They took us up the scaffolding and pointing out all the parts. The individual clan engineers got to talk about what they intended when we got to them. All the cyborgs would clap at the beginning and ending of every such speech. "What are they doing? They do know we're here, right?" the general asked. I gave a smirk. "Obviously this is a massive achievement for them. Now is the time for gloating and ego stroking. Because this is a coalition between 2 factions, there is even more gloating here because of the ideologies they want to push." I explained. "Those being?" another human asked. "It's in the name. All the Advocate clans want to help humans be bringing humanity into a new galactic republic thing as a member. Researchers want to further all their pursuits of science and use what they can. For good or bad." I said.
02 and 09-003 gagged. They were close by and overheard me talking. "Gross weaklings and nerd." 09-003 said. 02 nodded and said "We want to take you guys over. It is our right as Conquerors. If you guys can't get into space on your own, you do not really deserve to have a seat in the republic with our progenitors." he said. The humans glared at them. "Oh yeah. They are Conquerors, but I offered them membership in my clan." I said. Some coalition members overheard them and glared at the pair as well. They stood defiantly. I cleared my throat and said "It's always good to have the opinion of loyal dissenters. It keeps us grounded. Let's continue with the tour and celebration." That seemed to smooth things over. They continued with the tour. We walked and they continued with the ego stroking. After they were done, we were re introduced to the representatives that were going to be the pilots. Water Clan sent AEP unit 010 and Magnetic Clan sent 05. 010 could spray water from a hose in his stomach. Magnetic 05 was able to float. I had seen that before. Neither had golden nanites.
