Sarah, on the other hand, thought she was in heaven. Literally. Her memories had blurred after the immense time she had experienced, and her grasp of language had partially faded along with it, being unable to speak not helping any with that, but what she was aware of the whole time was that she was trapped for a huge but finite amount of time, and naturally she just thought she would die at the end. After all, the planet Earth wasn’t even supposed to be inhabitable in a billion years. How could there be an exit strategy that the evil genie had in place other than for her to just die at the end? So of course being brought to the company of an enormous beautiful fox, the animal she always loved to a level she would have been afraid to admit to others, she thought that after that long, horrible ordeal, that she was in heaven. Maybe the being who had done the punishment just thought she had enough and wanted to make up for it, or maybe she had simply gotten into the normal heaven, if there was such a thing, but one thing was for sure. She was going to accept the gift before her.
“Whoa Sarah, no, stop!” Jon quietly cried in fear. How was she supposed to control Sarah’s body? What activated this power the purple man had briefly mentioned he was giving her? But it soon became clear to Jon that Sarah wasn’t attacking her as she initially thought, quite the opposite. “S, Sarah, cut it out,” Jon said, embarrassed a bit as Sarah clung around her body from behind, rubbing her face against the fur on the back of Jon’s neck. Jon was still on her side on the floor as her babies nursed on her, she hadn’t wanted to get up during that whole conversation with the purple guy and it was looking like despite Sarah’s pushy behavior, she actually wasn’t quite disturbing Jon’s position or upsetting the little ones to stop them. Nevertheless Jon was at a disadvantage because all this had been sprung on her while she had been on her side to nurse her young in the first place after all.
Jon didn’t know the best thing to do in this situation, but was also intent that the physical mutilation that had been done to Sarah was not something she wanted to last, now that she had the power to change Sarah’s biology. Would the power operate on the speaking out “I wish” rule? Did Jon just need to think about what she really wanted to happen to Sarah’s body? Jon hadn’t been given instructions on how to use this power. So for now, she concentrated on the concept of changing Sarah from a mouthless human neuter to a big female fox like herself who was lactating as well and had the ability to speak, because Jon figured she could use the help in that area, and even if it wasn’t exactly what Sarah would ideally want, even she would probably see it as an improvement.
Sarah remained unchanged as she continued cuddling against Jon’s backside. Well it’s probably better that it wasn’t that easy anyway, Jon thought, or else Sarah would be at risk from horrible changes just from my stray thoughts. Might as well try the I wish strategy, even without a magic rock to be in contact with.
“I wish Sarah would change to a big female fox like me, who can talk and is also producing milk so she can help me feed the kids.” Jon said.
At this, Sarah tumbled to the ground giving Jon a reprieve from her aggressive affection. Jon still couldn’t see what was going on because it was still behind her back, but a few seconds later, Jon found herself once again embraced from behind, but this time, a pair of big fox paws wrapped around her from behind, and Sarah the fox was affectionately licking Jon. Jon sighed. At least the new Sarah was friendly.
Sarah was so happy. Heaven was so wonderful. She was a big beautiful fox too now! But she also took that opportunity to say her first words in a billion years, the shakily spoken, “do… you…… know… me?” It had not escaped her notice that the other fox had known her name, which after all this time, she barely remembered herself.
It occurred to Jon that of course Sarah wouldn’t recognize her.
“It’s Jon. Do you remember, Sarah? I’m Jon.”
“Jon…” Sarah said hesitantly. “I’m… sorry… Jon.”
“It’s fine Sarah. You’ve suffered enough. Way too much. More than I can even imagine. You’re sorry over something you did as a teenager, a billion years ago. I would have gotten you out of that earlier if I could.”
“I… love… you… Jon,” Sarah said, crying, hugging Jon tightly, and licking her.
That was when Karyn ran into the room, whining excited fox noises, holding a dead rabbit in his mouth.
